Some participants for leading COVID-19 vaccine trials have reported experiencing grueling side effects after receiving the shot such as high fever, body aches, headaches and exhaustion.
Five participants three in Modernas study and two in Pfizers late-stage trials said the uncomfortable side effects usually went away within a day, but some were surprised by how severe they were, CNBC reported.

Short term side effects from an effective vaccine might be OK.

Why would anyone take a vaccine for something as mild as Rona?

Not the only vaccine that leads to things like this.

I imagine the symptoms of the virus might be far worse than the side effects of the vaccine to cure the virus.
The virus could kill, but the vaccine is intended to cure.
Which would most people prefer?

Maybe so they dont later catch it and inadvertently pass on the infection to Mom or Grandma?

Flu shots are infamous for these types of reactions. In some folks, anyway.

I usually experience all of these symptoms to some degree when I get a flu shot. Sounds pretty normal, and better than getting a full-blown course of the actual disease. I'll be getting the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible - it'll eliminate the possibility of a week of flu-like symptoms from the disease, and hopefully they'll hand out verification cards which I can show to the staffers at grocery stores so I don't need to wear a mask to enter.

For a day or two? No medicine is side effect free

Seems the regular influenza vaccines do this as well, in certain people who have poor immune systems to begin with. I just got a flu shot last week, first time in over 40 years and I had no symptoms at all.......................

So basically similar to the flu vaccine..which is why Ive only gotten the flu vaccine twice(After my hernia surgery, my doc made me get it, said if I didnt and I got the flu and kept coughing it could tear the stitches)

Extraordinary that some people are saying things like this even now.
Why?
Even the most pessimistic numbers indicate that around 99% of people who contract COVID do not die. Typically vaccines are recommended for diseases which have very significant mortality rates.
