House Democrats are launching an investigation into President Trump’s treatment of the Secret Service during his bout with the coronavirus.
Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, accused Trump of disregarding the safety of his protective detail when he left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a short drive in his limousine to greet supporters who were outside the facility.
Thompson called Trump’s Sunday night trip a “joyride” that risked the health and safety of the agents who had to accompany him on the trip.
“So we can know more about how these events have affected the Secret Service and national security, I have requested a briefing from the agency on the current safeguards in place for their employees — including on the President’s protective detail — and how Secret Service agents can be kept safe from coronavirus-related threats, including apparently the President himself,” Thompson said in a statement.
Trump tweeted that the trip was deemed safe by medical staff at the hospital. An attending physician also accompanied Trump on the drive and wore a mask and other protective equipment.
Trump also wore a mask.
Trump announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that he will be discharged from the hospital and will return to the White House at 6:30 p.m.
Since when do the rats give a flying turd about the safety of any law enforcement, security, firemen, or emergency people.
Because being in the Secret Service is supposed to be the safest job out there?

By definition a Secret Service agent has agreed to step in front and TAKE A BULLET for POTUS.

I am glad these people are not in the service and have to risk their lives.

On what authority do they have to investigate the President? Has his family got ties to Putin via Moscows mayor to the tune of 3.5 million dollars? Any of his cabinet have an illegal server with top secret information on it? Has he been using intelligence to spy on and create a misinformation agenda to thwart his Presidential opponent?
I’d guess there are SS agent who’ve had Covid or received vaccine being tested.
These things would be classified.

Just out of curiosity... did any democrat bash Hillary for her 9/11 seizure, getting thrown in her Scooby Van like a side of beef and then after going to her daughter’s apt- which convienetly used to be a doctor’s office- and getting a ‘pneumonia’ diagnosis, she came dancing out and breathed her contagious, fetid breath into a little girl’s face.

I just sent the congressrat a tweet. I told him that I was a witness to the joyride and would be glad to be called to the House as a witness.
