House Democrats are launching an investigation into President Trump’s treatment of the Secret Service during his bout with the coronavirus.
Homeland Security Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, a Mississippi Democrat, accused Trump of disregarding the safety of his protective detail when he left Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for a short drive in his limousine to greet supporters who were outside the facility.
Thompson called Trump’s Sunday night trip a “joyride” that risked the health and safety of the agents who had to accompany him on the trip.
“So we can know more about how these events have affected the Secret Service and national security, I have requested a briefing from the agency on the current safeguards in place for their employees — including on the President’s protective detail — and how Secret Service agents can be kept safe from coronavirus-related threats, including apparently the President himself,” Thompson said in a statement.
Trump tweeted that the trip was deemed safe by medical staff at the hospital. An attending physician also accompanied Trump on the drive and wore a mask and other protective equipment.
Trump also wore a mask.
Trump announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that he will be discharged from the hospital and will return to the White House at 6:30 p.m.

Democrats have done nothing in the last four years but “investigate” everything Trump has done or said. They have accomplished NOTHING for the country.
There is no end to Rat party stupidity. It is unavoidable that Rat politicians reflect the attributes of those who elect them. People who are emotional, irrational, and oblivious to moral consequences vote for politicians who display the same characteristics.
I don’t know how to link things but on their 12:00 news conference today the Doctors OK’d the entire thing AND they put the SS agents into the same PPE they use when caring for Trump sorry you missed their news conference today!!
What they are accomplishing is how petty and sniveling they are. I’m sure this is really gonna go over well with the undecided voters and other independents.
Sounds exactly like what someone who would dramatically rip up Trump’s State of the Union speech would approve of doing.
The Dr.s were Trumps medical team from Walter Reed!!
If it is a presidential vehicle, the President is in an isolated compartment due to the threat of any NBC attacks ( nuclear/ biological/ chemical)
Let me get this straight...the Secret Service is willing to take a bullet for the President at any time, anywhere. But its ‘criminal’ to have them exposed to COVID in the limousine? Give me a break!

The SS and the president wore masks and I bet they washed there hands before and after so everything should be good and no one should have been at risk.

I say give the dems the fatal shot:
Take him from Walter Reed back to the Whitehouse in a TANK. Let him roll up Pennsylvania Ave. with the lid open, waving to the people!
I want them to investigate the Jerry Nadler shuffle, and make sure no innocent people were injured during it.
