Secret Service agents and medical professionals were aghast Sunday night at President Donald Trump's Sunday evening trip outside the hospital where he is being treated for the coronavirus, saying the president endangered those inside his SUV for a publicity stunt.

POTUS was more contagious when he boarded Marine One on the way to WR. Why weren’t these same screamers screaming about the Secret Service being exposed then?
President Trump rode in a Marine helicopter from the White House to the hospital. Plenty of news stories and videos.

So I guess it depends on the political stance of the doctor you listen to, and has little regard for the physician treating the patient. I think you call them arm chair quarterbacks.

Okay, what were the Secret Service people wearing that was approved by the physicians in the hospital when they cleared the trip? The only difference between what the SS most likely was wearing and the safety description of medical people’s attire when treating, most likely, is a gown versus street clothes. And both can be for disposal which is the intent. Remember, the trip was approved by the physicians. And they would have to protect the SS, too, if they were even in the car.
I didn’t see who was in the car with Trump. The only one confirmed was a driver and he would be more than 6 feet away with the privacy window closed. So they are going to have to prove to me who was put in jeopardy. It was only assumed the SS was in the car. And if they were, how they were dressed. If they were gowned up, they are no different than first responders. Come to think of it....they are.

Not sure if they would be considered the complete answer to a virus. But the auto also has an independent oxygen supply for both the driver and the passenger compartments. There is a bullet proof privacy screen between the driver and the passengers. Most likely, virus proof, also. It is used obviously for passing sensitive info the SS doesn’t have a need to know.

Thanks. I looked for some info on the SUV. No indication if there is extra filtration or a privacy screen in them. I think a privacy screen would be awkward in a Suburban. The one Trump was in doesn’t appear to be stretched.
I got the vapors the moment I heard that Trump did this.

Welcome. But if the need was there, they’d have to figure out something. Of course not all sensitive information the president talks about is for even his bodyguards ears. So they’d have to have something sound and bullet proof to use in all his vehicles. Maybe that’s why there isn’t a presidential motorcycle. They might have to call it “Chopper one”. Oh, sorry, old television show has that one. And “Hog one” would be misunderstood.
