Rudy Giuliani: "He's the friend we've been taking for granted. He's been carrying us..."
Fox News ^ | 10/04/2020 | Rudolph “Rudy” Giuliani

Posted on 10/04/2020 3:21:17 PM PDT by BenghaziMemoriam

"This is a chance for us, all of us, who he's carried for three-and-a-half, four years. We've watched this man,
and those of us who love him and care about him, it makes you want to cry to think of what they've done to him.
Every single day he's been in the White House, they tried to get him out. From the day he started until now...
They have tortured this man, and he's accomplished more than any President that I can remember.
So maybe he's entitled to a little rest. I said to him, 'You've got a lot of friends. They've all called me.
They all want to go out and help you. You know, we can't campaign as well as you can, but we can campaign.'
I think there's something that's been sparked in the American people. He's the friend we've been taking for granted.
He's been carrying us. Now it's time for all of us to carry him."

Does anyone know when the VP debate is being held???

Everything I have read said Thursday, Oct 15.

Kate Snow on NBC just said it is this week-—Wed Oct 7.

I am beyond confused.

Bodega, my sentiments to a tee! “The one thing I can do is vote!” Let me add that I can walk over to my polling place, stand in the very long line (I predict) and watch to make sure the workers put my ballot in wherever its supposed to go.

In 2018, the workers in charge were taking ballots from people’s hands to insert them into some kind of fax machine. My ballot was not immediately inserted, instead the person gathered many ballots and appeared to be untrustworthy (leftist hippie type). So I stood in the doorway refusing to leave until my vote was counted.

In the end, the leftists overturned the result of the election 1 week later via ballot harvesting, so instead of the Republican incumbent winning, a socialist/anti-Trumpist represents this area! So there’s only so much each of us as individuals can do if the old Chicago Democrat machine runs our elections.

There is something out there and was on FR a few weeks ago about ‘ One Man’, a description of what the President has done the past 4 years. I cannot find it. I don’t know if it was written by a Freeper or someone else.

Or even Jimmy Carter, who made a show out of carrying his own luggage.

Didn’t someone (ex-Secret Service?) say the bags Carter insisted on carrying were empty?

Yes, I believe that was it. All just for show. Disappointing.

Honest? Who knew? Bloomberg was normal and a very good mayor for quite a while.

You saw what happened when he ran for president.

He got killed for saying that white people are Over-Frisked..not under...and a whole bunch of other things.

Then...I don’t know what happened.

He became drunk with power and the dark side of the left was too strong for him...

But I cannot say that he was a bad mayor from the start.

Maybe he had syphilis and it didn’t show until later :)

A bit off-center, but very sensible and loyal...

You just described the majority of Italians, including me :)

We’re nuts.

But if we call you friend...your enemies should be concerned.

There’s almost Nothing I wouldn’t do for a best friend.

And I wish Trump had 100 more like him too...Pompeo and Barr and a small but steady bunch of senators and house members seem to be loyal to him.

I also did when I was transcribing it. It moved me when I first saw it live on FoxNews this morning. It was fortunate that they posted it on YouTube. My hope is that many more are moved and inspired.

Ah, I’m biased.

On Staten Island he’s considered a conquering hero :)

Even though he put away one friend or family member of pretty much everyone out here, he was just doing his job and we love him :)

All joking aside, even when they were great friends or uncles, they were still bad guys and when you dance, you pay the band eventually.

ciao!

Same here. It hit me when I was thinking we could lose him, on Friday.

We’ve all relied on him to do the heavy lifting for the entire country. That was wrong. He’s uniquely suited to withstanding it but we can’t put the entire fate of the nation on his broad shoulders.

This is ALL our responsibility and we need to start standing up and acting like it.
I know a lot of us already are but we have to try harder, and we have to dump the Rinos that aren’t on board.

In a lot of ways, Trump reminds me of my dad — big, loud, sometimes brash, soft hearted, but someone you can depend on. High energy, would just keep on going, working no matter what. Did we take him for granted? Just assume he’d always be there working for us? Yes, but we do try to appreciate Pop now that he’s in his 90s and slowing down.

Same with Trump. We should try to appreciate his hard work.

"Maybe he had syphilis and it didn’t show until later :)"

Well, Democrats are all perverts that's for sure. I just don't understand why the New York Republican Party couldn't find an actual Republican to run for Mayor in 2001. Why would they let a life-long Democrat run with an R behind his name? It made no sense then, and it's makes no sense today. The guy is a political opportunist of the worst kind. He can't be trusted. I think Bloomberg waited until he felt comfortable in the office of Mayor before he went full liberal. I don't know the timing of his change, if it was during his second term, but he did shed the Republican Party, and became an Independent, then switched back to Democrat. I don't know what the make-up of the City Council was back then, or how it changed during his three terms. It must have had mostly Democrats in order for them to grant him a third term. It's horrible now...47 Democrats and 3 Republicans. With one vacancy. WTF?
