Honest? Who knew? Bloomberg was normal and a very good mayor for quite a while.

You saw what happened when he ran for president.

He got killed for saying that white people are Over-Frisked..not under...and a whole bunch of other things.

Then...I don’t know what happened.

He became drunk with power and the dark side of the left was too strong for him...

But I cannot say that he was a bad mayor from the start.

Maybe he had syphilis and it didn’t show until later :)

Well, Democrats are all perverts that's for sure. I just don't understand why the New York Republican Party couldn't find an actual Republican to run for Mayor in 2001. Why would they let a life-long Democrat run with an R behind his name? It made no sense then, and it's makes no sense today. The guy is a political opportunist of the worst kind. He can't be trusted. I think Bloomberg waited until he felt comfortable in the office of Mayor before he went full liberal. I don't know the timing of his change, if it was during his second term, but he did shed the Republican Party, and became an Independent, then switched back to Democrat. I don't know what the make-up of the City Council was back then, or how it changed during his three terms. It must have had mostly Democrats in order for them to grant him a third term. It's horrible now...47 Democrats and 3 Republicans. With one vacancy. WTF?
