There is one hope for the world. Under the constitution, the state legislatures determine the choice of electors. Right now it is by popular vote, but the legislatures could change that. 29 of them are red states. So they could, in 4 years if they are still red state chose to appoint their electors and give us a conservative republican president.

Given the Trump administration’s record of hiring people who hate Trump and hate the MAGA agenda, it’s only natural for Schmidt to assume there are nevertrumpers inside the Trump campaign , too.
I’d be very surprised if the Trump campaign doesn’t have a lot of anti-Trump resistance people . That’s not Steve Schmidt’s fault, and I can’t blame him for reaching out to them. Ultimately, Trump himself and Jared and Ivanka are the people to blame for the hiring decisions over the last four year
