Trump and COVID-19: The realities; Bottom Line -- It's nowhere near as bad as it looks
American Thinker ^ | 10/03/2020 | By Mark Landsbaum

Pray for the president and his wife, who have tested positive for the China virus.

Next, pray for our nation at this pivotal time.

Then consider the realities:

1. Even at his age, the odds of President Trump surviving the virus are about 20 to 1 in his favor — and probably better, because no one will get better medical care, and he shows no signs of symptoms. As has been widely reported, there is a great likelihood that their tests were false positives. Don't fret. God's in control.

2. Expect all the members of the evil left to show themselves to be the monsters they are by openly rejoicing at the president's positive tests and celebrating the possibility of his death. This is to be expected from people who rejoice at the murder of babies in the womb, celebrate sexual depravity, and openly call for violence in the streets. Their unrestrained reaction will reveal them even more clearly for what they are.

3. After the Trumps test negative, he will return to openly campaign down the home stretch, and the reception of his supporters will be greater than ever at the time it is needed most.

4. In the meantime, we also will get a new originalist conservative Supreme Court justice, who is pro-life, which will also serve to show the left for the haters they are by their reactions.

All's well, folks. God's in control, and He's not surprised by any of this.

Just keep in mind, even very old people survive covid-19 in 95% range. Cancer? 50% survival if you are lucky and discovered it early.

Last night in the ER I work in a 75 year old man with Covid came off a respirator and was admitted ‘’upstairs’’(observation floor) with a good prognosis.

Two hours later a 40 year old man with heart failure died despite frantic efforts to save him. Life and death. Life goes on. Death is always with us. But keep on the positive side.

President Trump was on two feet and breathing on his own, alert and walking into a hospital ER. Trust me, that is a VERY good sign. It's a hell of a lot better than being wheeled in, on oxygen and unconscious or semiconscious.

and he shows no signs of symptoms.

Is that what the White House has said themselves? No. Perhaps not severe symptoms, but not "none."

The past several months "The American Thinker" has taken a great deal of liberties.

That also has not been "widely reported" - indeed not at all.

A polite way to describe many of their so called articles:

Except for comment re. vaccines, this is one of the BEST & shortest summations of the current national insanity I’ve seen.
If you agree, share it. Perhaps even some of the SHEEPLE will “GET IT” before Fauci, Gates, Soros and our other would-be masters close & lock the gate to the Globalist corral behind us.
(The internet NAZIS have tagged this site as “suspect”. Yeah, Mises is about FREEDOMS THEY find problematic!)

I have posted this observation before on FR, but since you work in ER, I gotta repeat it here briefly.

I was a member at Royal Oaks CC for several years. At a private golf club, most members are older. And you get to know and observe all the regular golfers, about half of the 500 membership.

So what I saw was very few members died from heart attacks. Many were overweight and rode in carts instead of walking the 6 miles in a round. Most would indulge in adult beverages after the round. Yet, heart attacks and deaths from it were rare. Most succumbed to cancer. One member in 60’s died from appendix issues suddenly.

My guess is Trump being a frequent golfer, is probably strong physically and will recover from covid-19 without complications.

Thanks for your post. I'm not a doctor. My wife, who works in a different hospital is a heart monitor technician, my late mother was an Operating Room nurse. That said it all matters on the over all health of each person to begin with.

Diet, exercise, family medical history are all factors. Being over weight or ‘’insulin resistant’’ are factors too. Insulin resistance doesn't mean diabetes , it's a condition, common in older people where the body doesn't ‘’burn off’’ sugar properly so the body, typically around the abdomen retains weight and is sometimes difficult to treat. Hence people who have this condition will often be prone to heart attacks. But again it all depends on the general health of the person. Donald Trump has the benefit of never having touched booze, illicit drugs or smoked. By all accounts he's a large man, well built and active. As I said the very fact that he was on his own two feet, breathing on his own, alert and walking into a hospital ER was a very good sign. It doesn't mean things can't go south but it's a hopeful sign. I pray to God Trump recovers. I'm sure he will. God help us if he doesn't get back into office. We'll be done for.
