NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The NYPD confirms Rick Moranis was randomly attacked by a stranger Thursday on the Upper West Side.
Police said it happened in broad daylight just before 7:30 a.m. on Central Park West near 70th Street.
Surveillance cameras captured the attack on the 67-year-old “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” and “Ghostbusters” actor.
Video shows the suspect walk up and punch Moranis in the head, knocking him to the ground.

Police said he went to the hospital with pain in his head, back and hip. He later visited the precinct to report the crime.
Now, the search is on for the suspect, who could be seen walking away.

Also where “Rosemary’s Baby” was ‘shot’, with the director’s wife (Sharon Tate) being savagely killed by devotees of Lennon’s music. Odd circle there.
You see a man walking up to another man and hitting him in the head and knocking him down, from a security camera about 50 feet away...............

I believe that Moranis never discussed his politics, probably because he is Canadian and had a little more decorum about himself commenting on issues concerning the USA (unlike Jim Carrey).
low quality surveillance cameras like the one at the link are almost worthless. That perp could be anyone.

Not sure about that. Certainly that low quality video could not be used as evidence to convict anyone of anything.
Upper west side is where DiBlasio shipped the homeless to despoil the neighborhood....although it is pretty hard to despoil a neighborhood populated by far left progressives. It has already been despoiled. Perhaps he should have knocked out one of them to bring them to their senses
Since Dumblasio has neutered the cops, I guess Rick will indeed have to call the Ghostbusters.
Situational awareness is a learned attribute, I’d suggest our boy Rick spend some time studying.
