In April 2018, President Trump issued an order to the National Archives to continue keeping thousands of CIA records relating to the John Kennedy assassination secret from the American people. The new deadline, which could be extended again by either Trump or a President Biden, was set for October 2021.
Since the order was issued early in the Trump regime, no doubt he felt confident that there would be no adverse political consequences flowing from his order. But now that Trump is engaged in a heated race with Joe Biden, he ought to be called upon to explain and justify his order for continued secrecy in an assassination that took place almost six decades ago.
Given the official narrative of the Kennedy assassination, the massive secrecy in which the Pentagon and the CIA engaged after the assassination has never made any sense.

There is a good book called “The Men Who Killed Kennedy” and it points the finger right at LBJ.

I am torn between LBJ, who was an extremely wicked and corrupt man and the Mob, (Marcello, Traficante, Chicago). Who both had the motive and hatred.

Just reading the tea-leaves, but I believe Trump had to call a truce with the CIA back in 2017: You stop your coup activities and don’t interfere directly in my Presidency, and I will appoint one of your own as Director (Gina Haspel) who will keep your bureaucracy and the main traitors safe.
Its impossible to know for sure.
I wouldn’t expect it to. Some still want faith in government restored.
I figure Republicans were as equally guilty as Rats for it, GHWB was right there, so Trump won’t release it and destroy the Republicans — unless their many McCain/Romney/Hussein Heads keep effectively demanding that he do so.

I disagree with the article author.
It is longer than a generation since the deed was done. I’m 68, and saw it live on TV. The politicians involved, are mostly dead, by now. Do i believe the Warren Commission report? No, for none other reason, simple physics of a moving body impacting a stationary object, forcing into motion.
Do i wish this to be ‘solved’? I would rather have the murder of the two boys behind a ssmall Arkansas airport solved. I would rather have the murder of Ron Brown solved. I would rather have Vince Foster’s murder solved. I believe that the inferred culprit can be found guilty.
There can be no legit reason to not release everything at this point.
Most likely it would be embarrassing to someone or some agency, or multiple agencies. I speculate that Oswald was on the payroll for both FBI and CIA. It has to be something like that.
To the author’s point, if one accepts the Lone Nut narrative as the truth, there would be no reason to not have already released all files way before now.
We at least know that swamp was never drained and Brennan still walks around, as Bill Ayres put it, guilty as sin, free as a bird.

Deep state and DemonRats. Time to spill out the truth otherwise they will roll over all of us. Trump early on made the mistake of thinking that our government is for us, when they are really only for themselves. I think he knows better now.
It could have been both of them, working in concert.
Two things I thought were weird were (1) Johnson is supposed to have changed the arrangement of the motorcade, placing the vehicle he was riding in further back from Kennedy's vehicle. And (2) Johnson apparently ordered his Presidential china 3 months before the assassination. Wish I could remember the book's title. I don't think it was the same one you're referring to. I remember only that it was a hardback, had a red cover and wasn't more than 170-200 apges tops.

I agree but at this time our very survival should be the priority.
