Trump's winning the voter registration battle against Biden in key states
NBC News ^ | 10/01/2020 | David Wasserman

Posted on 10/01/2020 7:35:10 AM PDT by SpeedyInTexas

In the last few weeks, Joe Biden has led President Donald Trump by a fairly consistent eight point average in national polls and has maintained leads in more than enough battleground states to win the Electoral College, including Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — all states Trump won in 2016.

But there are signs Trump's ground operation is paying off when it comes to registering new voters in key states, an advantage that could become important if the race tightens before Nov. 3.

Here’s the thing we ought to make sure:

1) These registered Trump voters VOTE, Not stay home. Turnout will be important

2) These registered Trump voters VOTE IN PERSON, not mail in their votes.

Since you want to sh*t all this thread with negativity...they usually do. They did in Florida in 2016. So remove the thumb from your mouth.

Why is that important at all? If I want to take a train which leaves at 11:00 a.m. and show up at the station at 9:00 a.m. and you show up at 10:45 a.m. don’t we get on the train at the same time?

The latter is fake news.

BARF BAG ALERT Early surge of Democrat voting worries GOP
The Day (Washington Post article) | September 30, 2020 | Amy Gardner & Josh Hawsey / FR Posted by bort

"In North Carolina and Georgia, for instance, one in five voters who have already cast ballots didn't even vote in 2016, McDonald said. Mail ballot requests are up astronomically in dozens of states; the figure is 350% in Michigan, for instance, when compared to 2016.

In North Carolina, 17 times more people have requested ballots than four years ago; in Wisconsin, requests were up by a factor of 12, according to internal RNC data. The fact that more Democrats have not just requested their ballots but have also turned them in is also a reversal of the trend in prior elections, McDonald said. It means one of two things, he added: That Democrats are more enthusiastic and are filling out their ballots quickly, or that Republicans are holding onto their ballots despite requesting them, out of concern over potential fraud.

"It could be that they're listening to Donald Trump, and even though they are requesting a ballot, they are going to vote in person if they vote at all," he said. Additionally, younger voters are a much smaller share of the voters who have already cast ballots so far than was the case overall in 2016 - leading him to believe that most young people, the majority of whom will support Biden, will vote much closer to Nov. 3 or on Election Day itself.

"I can't say with certainty that this is going to carry through," he added. "But everything that's happened over the past couple of decades, and our understanding of how people vote, is being upended in this election." (Excerpt) Read more at theday.com ...

"Biden backers are more enthusiastic about their candidate than those backing Trump," says one analyst......
<><> "huge numbers of Democrats have requested mail-in ballots,"
<><> "are filling them out quickly, and,"
<><> "have already turned them in weeks before the election."

===========================

This story is so bogus.....there is no enthusiasm at the grassroots level for Biden.

The Dems are working overtime, putting a false face on orchestrated voter fraud.

===========================================

So where are all these "enthusiastic" Biden voters when Biden has campaign events in their towns?

A Biden campaign event in a liquor store parking lot. Six people show up to hear Jill speak.

Where are the "enthusiastic" party regulars? The "enthusiastic" elected locals...the "enthusiastic" people expected to get out the vote?

Joe has little or no ground game, especially compared to HRC in 2016. Dem vote canvassers don’t go door-to-door due to covid, the university recruiting of Dem voting youth has shut down, and Dems voters have been scared into VBM, which has a higher fail rate due to errors. There’s also a huge, national, enthusiasm gap between Biden and Trump LIKELY voters.

Joe is actually winning? Nope. This article is starting to warn.

Hopefully this pays off THIS YEAR because I suspect those gains will be short-lived once the U.S. is post-COVID.

Dems outnumbering Republicans in early voting doesn't mean anything by itself. However, the size of early voting could be an indicator of Democrat turnout. There's been a lot of talk here about the low enthusiasm for Biden. If there's a huge jump in early voting compared to 2016, that suggests that Democrats are turning out.

Democrats are voting against Trump, not for Biden. Stop thinking that rally turnout means anything.

Only depends by how much since the Dems will not be motivated to go vote in person.

“As deadlines approach, new data from the past few months shows Republicans have swamped Democrats in adding new voters to the rolls, a dramatic GOP improvement over 2016, even if new registrations have lagged 2016 rates across the board. It’s a sign that in a pandemic, Democrats are struggling to seize traditional opportunities to pad their margins, such as the return of students to college campuses.”

I’m going to cry tears of joy.

I disagree because you have not factored in the China Virus panic which pervades the Left and did not exist in 2016. This has fear caused them to vote by mail in greater numbers, imo.
