With 24 hours having passed since the first presidential debate, it’s becoming clear that Trump won in a big way. It wasn’t an apparent victory, but it was a real one: He showed his base and ordinary Americans that he will always fight while forcing Biden to disavow both his hard-left base and the last of the old-fashioned Democrats who still support him
Don’t pay too much attention to the pessimistic pundits. The worriers worried, the haters hated, the ambivalent were ambivalent, the cheerleaders cheered. Personality may not be destiny, but it determines post-debates reviews. You have to understand the pundits’ filters.
You should still enjoy the cheerleaders for Trump, though: Here are a few comments from others on the subject, many of whom dislike Trump:

The American people: Trump won because he did not allow biden and his protector wallace from orchestrating the event, hense the so called interruptions and the feckless debate commission to order mic cutoffs .....all because of trump of coarse

I was thinking that perhaps President Trump’s interruptions were also a strategic maneuver to try and disrupt /distract the messaging that Biden was receiving I believe from being wired in to his handlers.
Well Wallace can know go where is partisan badge with dishonor.

The worst thing Trump could do to Biden is agree to let Biden speak on a topic until he has nothing to say. Within minutes, Biden would be so far down a bunny hole he’d find Winny the Pooh.

I eavesdrop a lot. I can’t help it. In the frequencies I can still hear, I have very good hearing.
I went out to lunch the day after the debate and the folks who were talking about the debate didn’t like the behavior of the participants.
The biggest one I heard is that he paid so few taxes.
I didn’t watch the debate (I figured how it was going to turn out and I was right) but I do know one person who Pres Trump may have lost. We have had plenty of discussions before and she was going to vote for him, but wasn’t super enthusiastic (did not like his “mean” Twitter posts)
But after the debate she said she was really upset by how rude he was (she was also upset about Biden calling him a clown & telling him to shut up). Her biggest reason why she either won’t vote or vote for Biden is because she thinks Trump is going to take away her insurance. She has “Obama-Care” and says it’s the only one she can get because she is a self-employed hair dresser.
I don’t know what was said in the debate to make her think that, but she has turned a 180 in one day. I didn’t try to talk her out of it, I figure I’ll try next time I see her, if I can find more info about what she thinks was said about insurance. Made me sad tho’
Ain’t it the truth! Like talking to a child who is caught for doing something wrong or something he was told told NOT to do.
It’s funny with children... but with the guy who thinks he can be President of the most powerful national entity in the known universe... not so much!
That America allows Joe Biden in his current medical and mental conditions, and with such a ghastly record of non-accomplishments over 47 years, aspire to the presidency is astounding.
Friends from Europe have called me and expressed their dismay that the press over there is reporting that US polls are predicting that Biden will win. They say that Trump, as bad an Orange man as he is, deserves to win because of what he has actually done during his firm term.
It’s as though you can break it down by categories; Substance, Honesty, Relevance, and STYLE
PDJT didn’t win people over in the STYLE category. It was brutal. However, it doesn’t matter, he won, hands down, on every point. He hit on Biden’s corruption. He hit on 47 years of being ineffective. He hit on energy and the economy. He pummeled him on law & order. He NAILED him on Russiagate.
This wasn’t a gracious battle. It shouldn’t have been either. One has to consider that PDJT was put into a situation where his opponent deserves to be in jail. For crimes against the very person he’s “debating”. When PDJT went on about “we have it all on tape” regarding what the Obama/Biden team knew, personally, about what Hillary was doing and their spying on him...Biden HAD NOTHING TO SAY. Plus, he was debating 2 on 1.
Imagine the next debate - for all Biden knows, PDJT could declassify new information about Biden and he knows it.
We’re beyond “Presidential”. We’re beyond niceties. This is for all the marbles. THE SWAMP MUST WIN AND THEY’RE TRYING TO DO IT BY PROXY VIA BIDEN. He represents EVERYTHING that is wrong in D.C.. He is consumed with their crimes and this is a battle for all of our future freedom.
I do not GIVE A S**T if it isn’t pretty. I can only THANK PDJT for doing it. This “debate” wasn’t a debate. It was more like a UFC bloodsport event and was JUSTIFIED. I think we’re all a little too naive as to what the stakes are and expected “traditional” behavior when it isn’t appropriate.
This is of biblical proportions and we’re living it.
