A laptop and several memory sticks used to program Philadelphia’s voting machines were stolen from a city warehouse in East Falls, city officials confirmed Wednesday, setting off a scramble among elections officials to investigate the theft and ensure the machines could not be compromised before Election Day.

The equipment appeared to be taken this week, sources said. Officials immediately began checking to make sure none of the voting machines had been compromised while also working to contain the fallout for fear of how President Donald Trump and his allies might use the news to cast doubt on the integrity of the city’s elections

I wonder what way Trump's people are going to ensure a clean election. I know they have a way but has not yet been made public. Evidence of the corruption is daily. Here's some NSA stuff; note they mention "foreign" but I am 100% sure they are not ignoring "domestic".

Voting machines/jurisdictions NEED the same safeguards as the gaming industry.

I contracted in Foxwoods back in the '90s. Because I didn't have a gaming license, I was limited to network and employees' IT equipment and (oddly) Keno. Yes, I can vouch that the security was intense, especially in the money room (steel lined walls, alarms everywhere, etc.).

I did get to see the equipment being serviced. When I saw that even the slot machines that were superficially mechanical were loaded with chips, I decided that I would never play those games. On my last day, I turned in my badge, bet $5 on Keno, and won, and walked out with $10. I beat the House.

They are planning this nationwide. It’s obvious. Go BACK to paper ballots and COUNT them.

My guess is that the memory sticks will be examined for layout and information. That information can then be used for evil purposes to mess with the voting machines or the vote data. The sticks in the machines could even be swapped out with phony ones during the election.
