Trump needs to tighten up in the next debate. The best thing to do is let Biden talk. It’s when Biden is best at showing his dementia and dumbassery. Then Trump can call him out on his time.
I understand what Trump was trying to do — and he was debating two people after all and struggling to get fair time. But Trump needs a bit of a calmer approach next time, and allow Biden to drive off his own cliff.
Biden fumbled the question about why he didn’t call Democrat mayors ( specifically Portland ) and ask them to crack down on rioters. He wouldn’t do it.

That lack of response encapsulated Biden. Biden continuously complained about what Pres. Trump did, but when Biden was asked why he didn’t call the mayor of Portland, Biden scurried away with the pathetic response that he’s not in office. Typical politician; full of promises to fix everything, but can’t even make a phone call.
He needed to smile a little more, to much body language.
No he didn’t. This was a knife fight.
Slow Joe looked like a twit with his horrible fake grins.
Trump is a brawler. He does best in a free for all fight. He did just fine. It was Slow Joe that was reduced to hissing “shut up” when it got too much for him, a sure sign of losing.
Wallace never followed up or pressed Biden whenever he gave a vague or non-answer. Yet, he badgered Trump just about every time he was speaking. I guess they thought that would look good, to antagonize Trump all the time, but it made Biden look weak.
Is that why Trump won most post debate polls including the Latino Telemundo poll by a very wide margin?

I would love to believe this, but right now, I’m hoping for a better, and more Presidential performance for the second, and final debate.

Wallace should have asked Biden to spell out his accomplishments over 47 years Perfect opportunity to do that on the 7 million jobs in 47 months vs Bidens recovery.
Wallace should have said to Biden , you keep saying not true , what are your facts to support that.
Chris Wallace lost the debate. He was constantly badgering, correcting and arguing with Trump and then tossing to Biden with reverence.
As far as Trump vs. Biden, given Biden’s refusal to denounce Antifa or Court packing I’d say Trump will win the economic and Law and Order vote and our senate races can be run on the pack the court issue.
