When 1,099 felons vote in race won by 312 ballots
Washington Examiner ^ | August 6, 2012 | Byron York

In the '08 campaign, Republican Sen. Norm Coleman was running for re-election against Democrat Al Franken...

... an election that was decided by 312 votes. With 1,099 examples identified by Minnesota Majority, and with evidence suggesting that felons, when they do vote, strongly favor Democrats, it doesn't require a leap to suggest there might one day be proof that Al Franken was elected on the strength of voter fraud...

Franken's victory gave Senate Democrats a 60th vote in favor of President Obama's national health care proposal -- the deciding vote to overcome a Republican filibuster. If Coleman had kept his seat, there would have been no 60th vote, and no Obamacare.

That and norm was a typical republicant: weak, incompetent, and not willing to fight.

Don’t forget Bob Dornan.
He lost his election to Loretta Sanchez thanks to illegal aliens voting.

“that and ballots in the back of a car.”

As I recall it was the old “in the trunk of an Oldsmobile” trick.

I think the felon voting strategy is a bit more insidious.

I don’t think felons actually vote. I think the Dems use the list of felons eligible to vote, and vote in their place via absentee ballots. If the felons get caught, so what! No loss to them!

I can’t think of any other reason why they are so hellbent passing that law when they assume power in a state. McAuliffe did it in Virginia first I believe. Since then, the new Rat gov in Kentucky passed it. They got in on a ballot in Florida and it passed.

I *really* hope someone is keeping an eye on this ...

Then they stopped.

What is the argument for why a felon should not be allowed to vote?

Not a citizen?
Or is that “right” reserved only for a select group?

Gotta love that 17th Amendment. /sarc

Send “Orange Man Bad” federal and state government desperate Democrats home in November!

Supporting PDJT with a new patriot Congress and state government leaders that will promise to fully support his already excellent work for MAGA and stopping SARS-CoV-2 will effectively give fast-working Trump a “third term” in office imo.

I don’t see any problem with voting Republican ticket for 2020 elections.

Insights welcome.

Ballots were found in some union office in the iron range in northern Minnesota.
Norm should not have conceded.

Being a resident of Minnesota, the loss was not caused so much by voter fraud as it was by the incumbent Senator Coleman.

During his six years in office, he was all but invisible. No one really knew what he was doing. It’s scary that at the time i could easily tell you what Tom Coburn or Jim DeMint were doing but couldn’t say the same of my homestate senator.

He was bad at retail politicking. Like Amy Klobuchar or not (and I don’t), she is out there. She visits county fairs and is always available for photo ops such as awarding a Korean war vet the Silver Star he didn’t get back in the 1950’s.

When it came time for Coleman’s re-election, it was insipidly ran. His theme was more or less “Vote for me. I’m not Al Franken”.

That race (even by Minnesota’s standards) should not have been close. Coleman should have won hands down.

He’s the reason why he’s not our senator anymore. If it’s not close, they can’t cheat. Coleman never figured that out.

That race - Coleman vs. Franken - showed without any doubt whatsoever what the Dems are capable of when obtaining power is at issue. The KNEW that they needed 60 votes to cram legislation down our throats (yeah, they knew that the cake was baked on Obama beating McCain, and that there would be major legislation that would completely change the political landscape on their agenda), so they did whatever it took. Cheating? That’s nothing for the Dems, that’s par for the course in every single election.

This time, there has been and will be much more pervasive cheating, like has never been seen before. That’s so that they can **LOOK** like they are the legit winners of various races (especially for POTUS). If they can’t accomplish that, then the riots will start. They will, IMHO, dox every single judge and every single Republican lawyer involved in fighting them, and literally attack their homes and, in many cases, those people themselves. I would not be surprised to see certain opinion leaders and those who can mobilize vast Republican opposition - such as Rush, Hannity, Dr. Gorka, Dennis Prager, etc. - be attacked or even assassinated. I am certain that the Dems view this as their big opportunity to fully remake this country by grabbing power - and they will literally stop at nothing to accomplish that goal.

That’s what we all have to be ready for - a literal revolution in the streets.

Prove me wrong. Someone. Please.

I will bow to your superior knowledge, you being there and having observed things for years before the election.

Nonetheless, the bastards DID cheat. I have NEVER understood why it is that the Republicans just stand around, knowing this, and do nothing about it.

Norm did sign that letter supporting President Trump, however. I’ll at least give him that much, but yes, he should have put up more of a fight. No question.

Don’t forget the fake charges against Alaska Senator Ted Stevens, right before the election. That was the 60th seat also. After the elections, it was discovered to be a totally bogus charge.

Correction: The Democrats stopped producing ballots when they got ahead 312 knowing full well the GOP would roll over dead.

Mike Bloomberg has made it official that when felons vote, they vote Democrat. So if 1000 felons voted, deduct 1000 votes from the Democrat’s total. Simple.
