Next time pick someone who
A) Doesn’t insist that the FBI is full of good people doing great things.
B) Shows no recognition that the organization needs cleaning up (and doesn’t show any signs of having cleaned it up).
C) Doesn’t smirk.
For karma reasons (among others), I’d like Flynn. I’m also very impressed with what Grenell did as acting DNI.

why does he need to be confirmed then? Not sure I understand about how FBI connects to the Executive branch.
Seems like Trump could replace the FBI with Federal Marshals or anything else etc. at his pleasure since a president created it out of earlier departments.

It does seem that DOJ completely controls the FBI and at anytime could make additions, changes or delete to its structure and personnel at POTUS’s pleasure. Congress would have no authority over it and only the DOJ head would have to deal with them.
Fire all FBI top tier temporarily, hire them back after individual interviews into a new structure with no single director under tight DOJ and Marshals trusted individuals.

Maybe this is why Durham’s doc won’t come until after after the elections or early next year. They may have something solid and concrete that nails Comey, Mcabe, etc that nails Crossfire Hurricane founders (Brennen and others from Obama’s Camelot). Durham would not be necessary at the moment since DJT could just order Barr to arrest Wray and let him sing his song in the face of evidence, if they have it, followed by an address to the nation. Screw charges, grand juries, woke judges - just get the Coup details out to the people and every rally following. Why waste time.
