Who takes over after Queen Elizabeth? Is it that Prince Charles? If so, the British monarchy is indeed screwed. Ol' Chuckles is what, 70-ish? Not sure he's going to outlive Mum. If he croaks before the Queen does, hopefully enough of Britain will still exist that William and Kate can ascend to the throne and try to rebuild their nation.
