Less than six weeks before the election, one of the most profound disappointments among some of Joe Biden’s supporters is that he doesn’t even seem to be trying.
If some Democrats are correct, crushing “The Donald” should have been easy. After all (according to them), Trump is an impeached, sex-offending, tax-evading, white supremacist, coronavirus-mismanaging, sexist, racist, Islamophobic, homophobic, mysogynistic, sexist liar who is wildly unpopular. And Biden has long showed a hefty advantage in the polls.
If all of that’s true, then Biden need do little more than show up, and winning should be a piece of cake — a massive blowout.
But even to some of his cheerleaders, it feels like Biden hasn’t even been showing up. From March until the last week in August, according to news reports, Biden made no in-person speeches or campaign appearances at all.
On Thursday, President Trump stopped by the Supreme Court to pay respects to the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, made a health-care policy speech in North Carolina, then flew to Jacksonville, Fla., for a giant campaign rally at the airport.
Biden? He had no public events on his calendar.

Biden’s handlers are playing a smart game, IMO. There’s no need to risk a fatal Biden gaffe when the media is out there doing all of Biden’s work for him.
They might be too smart for their own good. I have faith that most Americans will not abide by a coward, trying to back into the most important job in the world. Presidents need to earn that role and convince voters that he deserves to kead them.

Good question. I was going to answer yes, if Biden used the n-word. But scratch that. Democrat Senator Robert Byrd used the n-word on national TV, and no one seemed to care.
I understand your point but take the opposite side and say this inertia is suicidal.

He did make a brief appearance the other day at the RBG farewell tour, then went straight back to Wilmington and his basement.
Its not about the election its about the post election. Joe just needs to keep it close. They are putting all there efforts into the street thugs and lawyers. Mail in voting for the steal. Why would anyone give this country or their life for George Soros.
Correct. Biden does not have the charisma or energy to "win" any new votes on the campaign trail. He can only lose them with some new gaffe. And we all know Biden is a gaffe machine with potential to make a campaign-ending mistake.
So it's safer to keep him under wraps and protect the voter base he has.
What is surprising to me is how Kamala has also turned out to be a gaffe machine totally lacking in charisma.
Someone convinced all of his opponents to drop out except the one who could help the guy who was leading. Then when he won the night they told his final competitor it was too dangerous to campaign because a Pandemic was on its way. Since then they made it illegal for his national election candidates supporters to gather together and for the candidate to hold rallies. Just to name a few of the tactics.

Here’s my guess: The DNC would have accepted any nominee except Bernie Sanders. It’s not that they disagreed with Sanders. They just thought he couldn’t win a general election.
But then horrors! Bernie was taking the lead in delegates. And that’s exactly when the DNC dusted off Biden. The DNC is supposed to be neutral in the primaries. But I’ll bet they called in every favor in every state to push Sleepy Joe past Bolshevik Bernie.

actually the Trump campaign should plant black supporters at his events and push him hard. I’d be curious as to which words he chooses to respond with.
