Ridiculous! My son in Miami is so happy. Republican Governor DeSantis just lifted up all restrictions for businesses including no mandatory mask and no fines of any kind. My son is at his gym which is fully functioning and no masks required. I hope Governor Abbott will do the same in Texas!
Yes! It’s a great day here in Florida. Gov. DeSantis is the best large-state governor in the nation — not that he has much competition after the abysmal performances of Newsom, Cuomo, and Pritzer and the weakness shown by Abbott.
This good news comes just a week after I had to tell a local volunteer organization what they could do with their mask mandate.
I had invested seven years in this group. But I don’t regret my decision.
As a retired newspaperman — a real reporter/editor — I would no sooner comply with a mask diktat than put my byline on a story I knew was full of bad information, if not outright lies.
That’s good news. I’ve been putting off travelling there until sanity returns. It’s almost too late in the season to hit the beaches though. Water starts cooling off.
And Governor Stitt in OK. However, he's been distressingly wishy-washy lately, reiterating on the one hand that he will never force masks on Oklahomans, but on the other hand praising masks to the skies and "strongly recommending" everyone wear them.
I had such high hopes for him when he stood up against the local leftists for so long. He may come back around, but I'm a lot more cautious in my optimism than before.
I wish Abbott would too, but he really got spooked by the MSM during the so-called spike of fake positives during June. He’s not as tough as DeSantis, but hopefully DeSantis will give other wimps courage, especially the mask thing.
Abbott is an idiot, do not expect anything sane coming from (big) Gov in Texas.
