This popped up on my phone this morning. I think I’ve taken my last Uber trip, thank you. I’d rather walk than be in a Big Brother car.
It must be really hard on the drivers.
Used it once out of necessity.
No complaints.
I will avoid now.
Since the driver is free to refuse the rider when they pick them up, I’m not seeing why this is necessary. If the rider doesn’t have a mask on when the driver arrives, just leave their butt.
What’s getting me is this one:

Those poor drivers, stuck on the front lines, defending the status quo. Just like cashiers, flight attendants and schools. I can already hear the arguments from some would-be passengers, liberally sprinkled with profanities.
People have (literally!!) gotten killed over Mask-Rage arguments since March of this year. Who could have predicted this a year ago? Not me.
I often tell my riders to feel free to do without them and breathe freely. But a driver must be discerning because most females seem way too devoted to them and could turn in the driver for the mere suggestion.
But what is the driver to do if the rider takes off his/her mask during the ride ?
Uber blows, but the last time I took a Lyft, you were supposed to wear a mask. I don’t think they were this draconian about it though.
If they were really serious about ‘stopping the spread’ of this covidiocy, they would also make the drivers wipe down all the surfaces of their vehicle with bleach or lysol, while live streaming it, so the next passenger knows ‘it will be safe’.
My mask will say F**k you Uber!
Has anyone started a “Hero-Uber” campaign yet? Seems like everyone wants to be a hero since the Covid shamdemic started: teachers, nurses, hospitality (i.e., hotel workers), etc.

I didn’t know the Executives at UBER were Licensed Medical Doctors, because a Facemask is a MEDICAL DEVICE and requiring someone to wear one is Practicing Medicine without a License, they should All be ARRESTED!
