PG&E warns of possible power shutoff in Sierra Foothills

SAN FRANCISCO Pacific Gas & Electric Co. is poised to shut off power to thousands of residents in the Sierra Foothills this weekend amid hot, dry and windy conditions.
In a news release Thursday, PG&E said high-risk fire conditions are expected to arrive Saturday evening, continue through Sunday evening and subside Monday morning.
