This is a good point and could be true in this case.
It really depends on what information the officers were acting on, and what their procedures are.

The driver in the Prius had the audacity to carefully drive through the violent thugs without harming a single one.. He is then chased down and attacked for not Obeying the Mob.. How dare he not bend to their “Authority”.
Then he_quickly_gets arrested while the rioters skate. How does that happen? Why is it the good get punished and the bad get rewarded. It’s an ages old phenomenon.

I have tried to impress this upon my kids. My son gets it. My daughter still has her MAGA hat and police hats in her rear window. She did get rid of the American flag she was using as decoration. “That’s disrespectful. It isn’t some sort of table cloth.”
My son is also always armed, so flies under the radar. His younger sister still has an attitude, and has yet to get a firearm.

Probably negro officers supporting the negro liberation and anarchy movement. LAPD is one of the more incompetent and corrupt police forces since they dropped all hiring standards about 20 years ago hiring every unqualified minority possible.
Hence the ambivalence towards blue lives matter.

Nearly all of the ‘mostly peaceful’ protesters have a phone in one hand recording what is going on.
Nearly all are wearing full backpacks and many are avid skateboarders.
And in my part of the country you never see a man carrying an umbrella unless it is raining and he’s wearing a suit, ‘’mostly peaceful’ often carry them.
When the police line approaches ‘mostly peaceful’ protestors, several raise both hands in the classic ‘hands-up, don’t shoot’ pose.
And they lie. No matter what happens, it’s the other guys fault. They were ‘mostly peacefully’ having their demonstration/riot in the middle of the street and crazy white guy in a Prius deliberately aimed his car at them knocking dozens of them over like ten pins. Several ‘mostly peaceful’ protesters give chase and ‘mostly peacefully’ smash out his windows and ‘mostly peacefully’ try to drag him out his car to hold him for the authorities.
I saw that post. I abstained from commenting because I wasn't in the mood to argue. Today, I am in the mood - so bring it Fearpers. Anyone that requires a change behavior (mask wearing/social distancing/right to assembly/shutter businesses) by means of force needs to rot in prison. Restricting behavior that was legal a year ago and for the entire history of our Republic is just plain wrong, unconstitutional and doing the bidding of Marxists. Those enforcing such edicts are as bad as Nazi's "just" following orders and should be treated as such. They should know better and if they don't they do not belong in those jobs. Those supporting such edicts from the sidelines, yes I'm talking about you Fearpers, are sympathizers with the left and are cowardly traitors to the Republic. They can burn in hell.

One question about the posted article: Why weren't the cops stopping the "peaceful protest"? They should have been out there with water cannons, tear gas and live rounds quelling this insurrection. These people are not protesting. It's complete bull schiff to think otherwise.
It boils down to this: When law enforcement does its job going after real criminals then they are not going after law abiding citizens. In fact, they just maybe protecting law abiding citizens and their property. Just maybe. (That's sarcasm for the slow people.)

Notice in the video that the car’s windshield was smashed out with a skateboard.
If the police keep protecting police haters, all that will be left are police haters.
