Fresh off of surprising upset victories in this summer’s Democratic primaries for state Assembly and Senate, the city’s Democratic socialists are targeting the City Council primaries next year, when 35 of the 51 seats will be without an incumbent.
The Democratic Socialists of America-NYC is planning to back a slate of council candidates who, if elected, would create a “socialist caucus” down at City Hall.
According to the strategy document obtained by The Post, one litmus test will be agreement to “defund the police” by 50 percent, slashing the NYPD’s budget by $3 billion.

You really should take this ongoing coup, or revolution, more seriously.
Democracy, popular sentiment, feelings don't count in a revolution.
What counts is violence, and who gets there firstest with the mostest.
The opposition to this enlarging revolution is weak and uncoordinated.
That has to change, or there is some risk that revolutionary forces will prevail.

I actually hope NYC goes 100% socialist and destroys the city to the point where Snake Plissken has to save the day.
We need to let the cities get completely destroyed, laying ashes, in order to rebuild them....
Keeping them alive with Federal Bailouts don’t work they only delay the inevitable...
All they need to do is a get an unshakeable hold of New York and California. They they can work to get a hold on other states, until they have a defacto 38 state majority. Then they can change the Constitution any way they want.

In the 70’s there was a book a lot of people on the subway were reading. Not sure of the name, it may have been ‘Siege’ but I cannot find it under that.
It was about the blacks blowing up all the bridges to NYC and taking over the city.
I was reading it on the subway and a pretty hip looking (disco type guy on his way to work) black guy standing next to me looked down, saw my book, and said, ‘yeah, right’.
Was so funny. Because back then we were all pretty much enjoying the craziness of NY and the blacks at the disco’s were not like todays radical blacks. They were fun and just like the rest of us, slaving away and heading to the disco at the end of the week for a good time.
