Pittman Administration Pushes Workforce Housing (Suburban Maryland--projects in the suburbs)
The Capital (Annapolis, MD) ^ | September 21, 2020 | Amy Leahy

Unfortunately, what the Pittman administration is aggressively pushing on the middle, western and northern areas of the county is workforce housing, by introducing one bill at a time that makes way for zoning changes where high-density housing is permitted in areas that previously would be low to medium density neighborhoods.

In some cases — as in Bill 65-20 — there is no height restriction to the buildings, and the zoning is changed so that a “Mixed Use” zoned area can be 100% workforce housing, instead of mixed office, commercial and residential.

A friend of mine who lives in Anne Arundel County, Maryland (between DC and Baltimore) sent me this article. The leftist County Executive of the county is pushing for a zoning change that would allow him to force a 13 story "workforce housing" building with hundreds of housing units into a wealthy, suburban neighborhood (Millersville, Severna Park, Crofton, Md.). The pink hats who came out in 2018 and voted this guy in are now all calling his office screaming NIMBY. Facebook is lighting up with "suburban women" who are up in arms. Of course, "workforce housing" is PC for "Section 8 housing." Discuss.

Workforce housing? Meaning housing that is affordable for people who work in those areas?

I know I’ve heard talk over the years, about how in many cities, lower paid workers in suburban office parks have to commute long distances, because the suburban housing near these office parks is unaffordable to the people who work there. And they talk about how this impacts traffic, public transportation, and other issues, because people working there can’t afford to live there.

I’ve heard similar discussions over the years, about how teachers in affluent suburban areas can’t afford to live in the towns they teach in. Ditto for first responders not being able to afford to live where they work.

if it was truly for the "working poor" that'd be one thing, but i'm sure it will mostly be welfare rats

My takeaway is the rich people are exempting their areas from this change. The plan seems to be to crowd more people in the less well off areas and not impact the fancy ‘burbs. Nasty people.

When Obama was an Illinois Senator he and Bill (step on the American flag) Ayers had gained total control of the distribution of funds from the Annenberg foundation which they passed its millions on to lefty fronts offering courses to Illinois and Chicago schools pushing the what soon would be the BLM agenda.

Author and investigative reporter Stanley Kurtz should be asked about this when interviewed about socialist plans for the suburbs which he revealed in his book.

For at that time when Obama was doing this he tried to expose those radical left study programs over a program held by WGN radio but was threatened by protesters who prevented a co-hearant presentation.(play on words)

In March 2019,VP Demon candidate Kamala Harris cosponsored the Equality Act, which would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 . Among other things, the bill would force public schools to expand female athletic teams to include biological males who identify as transgender girls,..Also did this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3877896/posts and this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3880192/posts

HERE’S HOW THEY TREAT CONSERVATIVE CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS WHO DON’T SUPPORT STUFF LIKE THIS

And why there is no such thing as a Catholic Conservative Dem in Congress an example is Illinois 3rd district

Today’s Demon-ocrats weren’t happy with his funding votes against abortion and on being the only congressional democrat to vote NO on allowing men to to call themselves a women and compete with women in college sports.
Those who live in Chicago already voted at their local public library. So in the reshaped 3rd Congressional district Daniel Lipinski lost because of redistricting. Of a district which had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to his 23rd.

That was a district where those city wards were primarily composed of traditional value family oriented Catholic/Christian communities containing dozens of church/school parishes opposed to funding such things as abortion and LGBT activities rather that dealt exclusively with city issues such as a subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway.

Those Wards were reliable William O Lipinski supporters of Dan’s father. But since most had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistricted and assigned to the Gutieriez’s district. Those results are posted below which actually tear up the concept of a neighborhood and pit people against each other by using division.

In some of those wards areas of city blocks which were zoned exclusively for single family dwellings residents suddenly found their neighborhood having houses torn down and being replaced with multiple apartments with the units not required to furnish parking facilities and many renters were illegals. Much of which fit the plans for the suburbs

There is nothing new under the sun.

This used to be called “blockbusting” and the lessons it taught were that the first ones to sell out were the only residents who came out even close to OK. It is financially devastating for all the rest of the owners in the targeted areas.

I don’t think there is any defense against it which is legal.

Move at the first sign of this nonsense.

Of course, "workforce housing" is PC for "Section 8 housing."

or really "Democrat voter housing". They try to have Democrat voters move in and scare any remaining conservatives to move out. They are trying to shape the electorate for one party rule, which succeeded beyond their wildest dreams in California.

PITTMAN:

1. He is a wealthy old money horse country mega Lib & former Acorn member SJW.

2. The prior County Executive could have easily been re-elected, had he not been so pro land developer ushering in this guy.

3. Its been a circus here watching Pittman and Gov. Hogan BOTH of the same ilk addressing the covid thing in the NOT so Free State.
