This is blatant insubordination to President Trump and his tough as nails doctrine. The CDC just recently defied his directive to cease the CRT training program and now this.
The Swamp wants to overwhelm the system. Showing President Trump THEY are in control by disobeying him on more fronts than he can possibly keep up with.
When the Marines got rid of the “Jack Webb DI” training, it was a great disappointment to new recruits, who not only expected it, but wanted it. But at least they had a good reason, that they jobs they were preparing for were a *lot* more technical, and needed far more “classroom” than they used to.
However, the Army is probably doing this for stupid damn PC reasons. After wars, the Army is in the habit of slacking off with discipline and training, and only when it is getting ready for a brawl does it toss out the deadwood and get back to business.
In 2005, I went to Parris Island to my daughters graduation. There were 4 platoons of males and 2 female platoons. They march them across the road with the female platoons first followed by the males. I was on the street taking pictures as they passed by and the last platoon on men marched past some young man in the last line of the last platoon lost his cap.
In the blink of an eye there were 4 DIs surrounding him yelling at him to pick up his cover. The best line I heard was one of them yelled at him “YOU AIN’T ON THAT BUS YET!
This was right in front of all the families.

This is idiocy. Those recruits need to be in absolute fear of their drill Sergent as he molds them into an effective fighting force. They will look back in respect to their drill Sergent.
A one star general that I am acquainted with upon his retirement ceremony contacted his aged drill sergeant whom was a black man. The general was white.
He paid for his presence in flights and accommodation and expenses. The army was honoring the general at retirement. The General was honoring his old drill Sergent at the same time. That is how it is supposed to work.
One of the main reasons there are so many instances of PSTD, and one of the main reasons so many combat vets commit suicide these days is because of soy boys and young men who grew up without a father in the home and have subsequently enlisted in the army. So many young men coming out of public schools and into the army are quite ill prepared to be soldiers, much less men.
It’s quite sad the Armed Forces have had to take this kindergarten approach to basic training, but what else can they do these days? This is the way things are these days, and the army has to accept the current sorry state of our society.
