Nice photos and information. It’s satellite site in Fairfax County has deer on its grounds. Cheaper than lawnmowers. You should have seen the rack of antlers on that buck we saw Saturday. Could hang a lot of coats on it plus a few scarves and a cane.

How was yesterday’s outing with Gizmo? Are you still dealing with smoke in the air over there? It finally cleared out here, thank goodness.

Well, it was a little better than yesterday but now it looks like we have some rain coming in from Beta. Here are pics from yesterday at Comanche Lake.

G’morning ‘Girl, Yes, I know the Coast Guard Academy is in New London, CT. I am from Stonington, CT — 12 miles East of NLON, was stationed on the U.S. Submarine Base, Groton, CT for 12 years of my 23 year career in the submarine force.

My brother was a career Coast Guardsman stationed aboard the Blackthorn — a bouy tender when it was hit in Tampa Bay by a ship. The Blackthorn went to the bottom of the bay taking more than twenty crew with it. My brother among them. Sadly none survived.
