Music to my ears.
Pro football has been detestable to me for at least the past 10 years. I dont enjoy watching stupid gangsters.
And he has a great point.
Compare numbers Pre-Kap to now.
I imagine its 35-40% down.
And those are big numbers
in terms of TV revenues.
Not enough....how low can they go....cmon man...
Their loss, it was a great game. They didn’t show any pre-game politics.
.........
Athletes eventually will understand that they are not ball players, they are paid to be entertainers. Ya don’t take politics or grievances to work.
Because of Jimmy Kimmel.

And the NFL will soon be negotiating new 10 year contracts with the networks ... and new 10 year contracts with the players union. The winds of change are blowing ... hard ...

I hope its a Cat 5 hurricane for them
woke, meet broke
I watched football for 40 yrs.
It was a good run.
Now its done.
Plus all those empty stadiums not generating revenue, and what about season ticket holders? Do they get a refund? (hah)
Awe... isn’t that too bad....
woke, meet broke

Yeh, for sure. But sadly, woke doesnt mean awake. It will take a couple seasons of declining revenue for these idiots to get it.
They may never get it. They’ve adopted a world view where political correctness seems to count for more than money.
Maybe when the high-end SUVs finally start getting repo’d.
Most of those leaving will be back, but not all. 2019 ratings were up. Not quite back to the 2015 peak, but getting close. People have short memories, and they value watching football over standing up for their flag and nation. The NFL and their media partners saw fans flooding back in 2019, having forgotten their anger at Kaepernick, and this told them they could do whatever they want and the fans will take it. Will this time be different? I doubt it. People are lazy, and unwilling to sacrifice their precious football.
Would that be on top of the 20%?
It was Cameron Newton vs. Russell Wilson. No contest. Wilson showed why he’s the best. Newton’s job last night was to prove he belongs in the same company and he showed that he doesn’t. The best organization behind him. Perhaps he might improve during the season but Wilson makes $35 million/yr anNwton doesn’t. No need to explain y.
Yep. Corporate policy for us was to avoid political discussions or anything else political while at work (clothing, hats, posters, etc.). That was all well and good until Obama was elected, then those guidelines were broken routinely without punishment.
Sadly, this was for a defense contractor working on software and military systems.
