“We have our options, we have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now,”

Because they’re imaginary.
Nasty Nancy MUST realize the House gets no vote on Judicial branch nominees. I guess she just can’t admit that she’s powerless to stop the Bad Orange Man.

The House has no say in SCOTUS nominations. She’s either blowing smoke or smoking crack.

Last request? The position is not hers, does not belong to the democrat party now or ever.

Her last wishes aren’t worth the turd I just flushed.

The House doesn’t vote for the SCOTUS pick.

The House theoretically could impeach, but there’s no way 2/3 of the a Senate would vote to remove. Even if they did, a confirmed SCOTUS nominee would remain on the bench after Trump is removed. Removing Trump would not invalidate the pick.

Since any impeachment trial would almost certainly not take place until after the election, I’d take that trade off. Worst case, Biden wins - no impeachment (or just one for show), and we get a Conservative justice. Next worse case, Trump wins and somehow is removed. We get President Pence for 4 years plus a conservative justice. ObviouslyR best case is Trump wins and we get four more years of Trump plus a justice.

In any case, it’s hard to see any downside in nominating and confirming a new justice no matter what Pelosi threatens to do.

Honestly, the only downside is for Collins, who will lose her seat because she will alienate the voters of the party she is supposedly a member of.

In addition to believing that nominating a candidate to replace Ginsberg is an impeachable offense, they are going to make the stupid and/or crazy leftie base believe that impeaching Trump would somehow invalidate his SCOTUS nominee. Of course we know that isn’t the case. Even if by some real with the devil the Dems manage to muster 67 Senators to vote to remove Trump, his pick remains on the bench. Bottom line: Pelosi has no power to affect this pick; just make the pick and get him/her confirmed and let the loonies on the left throw their tantrums.

The impeachment trial would not be held until after the confirmation of the new supreme court justice .

It might not even be taken up by the senate at all .......

Mitch can run out the clock

What will they do, impeach Trump again? Hold secret hearing on how Putin is picking the nominees? Leak and smear? All of the above? Change the law so that democrat presidents (exclusively) can pack the court?

They still don't get to vote on the nominee.

Probably two things they can do. Impeachment is obvious, and another is the NY AG issues state level charges against Trump on the tax return/property value issue. Delaying Ginsburg’s burial until Friday (odd for a Jewish person) gives them time to get together their plans prior to Trump’s announcement of the nomination.

IMPORTANT
Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said he believed President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court pick would be confirmed before the election.

Cruz said such action was justified by the U.S. Senate, given the possibility the high court would have to weigh in on the presidential election.

JOE BIDEN has been explicit. He has said, IF HE DOESN’T WIN HE WILL CHALLENGE THE ELECTION. He’s going to go to court. He’s going to challenge it. He’s already hired a big legal team. Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden, “Under no circumstances should you concede.” Given that, there is a serious risk of a constitutional crisis, IF JOE BIDEN is bringing litigation, like we had in Bush v. Gore but IN FIVE OR TEN STATES…

It talks about the epic battle where AL GORE CHALLENGED THE ELECTION RESULTS, AND FOR 36 DAYS, THE COUNTRY WAS HELD IN CHAOS.

Well, IF JOE BIDEN DOES THIS AGAIN THIS YEAR AND WE HAVE AN EQUALLY DIVIDED 8 (SUPREME COURT), 4-4, CAN’T DECIDE ANYTHING.

That could make this PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION DRAGS ON FOR WEEKS AND MONTHS AND WELL INTO NEXT YEAR! That is an INTOLERABLE SITUATION FOR THIS COUNTRY. We NEED a FULL COURT ON ELECTION DAY, given the VERY HIGH LIKELIHOOD that we’re going to SEE LITIGATION THAT GOES TO COURT.

WE NEED A SUPREME COURT THAT CAN GIVE A DEFINITIVE ANSWER FOR THE COUNTRY.
