It signifies weak or complicit people. Anyone with a lick of sense knew from the onset that masks would not help in any way. To the contrary, people are getting injured and or sick from them.

I hesitate to blame the mask-wearers. And that’s because there so so much contradictory information out there. Most people want to do the right thing, health-wise. But for every “masks are useless” article there’s a “masks save lives” one.
So many people are erring on the side of caution. That might be the wrong approach. But it’s not unreasonable
Masks are, and always have been, psychological props, no matter for which purpose they are worn. Currently they are being used as a means of shaming those who do not wear them, as being anti-social and combative.
Masks just plain feel uncomfortable to me, and I much prefer to use a transparent face shield, by which there is at least facial recognition. And even that is not ideal.
Besides, I think a lot of people drool behind those masks.
One only needs to look at the size of the virus versus what masks do and realize it’s useless. It’s one big compliance test and it’s terrible.
Number of pro- vs con- is irrelevent.
What counts, so far as science is concerned, is quality. I’ve posted before that there have been tests showing that masks (& social distancing) are worthless for respiratory virus. This tracks back to data paid for (last year) by both CDC and WHO.
WHY?
Follow the money.
Who makes most of the masks? What organization profits from continued use of disposable masks? Does same organization control “authority” that now recommends masks? What US political party benefits from curbing self-reliance and training citizens to “shut up and just do it”?
Facebook provides immediate fact checking saying it’s wrong.
Reminds me of the husband saying “Are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?”
I think the mask is more to stop droplets.
Unfortunately if you need groceries at the store the sign says “Masks are required to enter this store”.
If you need supplies from the DIY store the sign says “Masks are required to enter this store”.
If you need to shop at the store for clothing, or other apparel at the store the sign says “Masks are required to enter this store”.
It’s the law we have to be sheeple. It isn’t really ALL the people being sheeple, but all the people are required to follow the law, or not get served. They got us where they want us.
WHAT! Is this a joke? Or is it a simple demo of physics. LOL! And still we see individuals driving with mask, shield and gloves with their windows up in the bright sun light. Butt, if it makes them feel better............. We went to Virginia City NV last night so I could sit in with some friends playing at one of the saloons there. Very few folks with masks on. Oh, and plenty of Trump support too.

I wouldn’t say they’re totally worthless, but their effectiveness is probably minimal at best. A lot depends on the mask and how well it fits. The cloth and paper masks most people are wearing don’t fit particularly well, so a fair amount of the air you are inhaling or exhaling is going to bypass the mask. If the mask does happen to trap some germs or viruses, they are now trapped against your face, or your hands can come into contact with them if you adjust or remove your mask. Still, the CDC guy says Wearing a mask could be more important than getting a vaccine. How stupid do they think we are?

Interesting. Is that true for all masks, or just the low-quality ones?

The mask isn't the mark of the beast, but definitely a step towards that as the mask is a test of compliance and surprisingly, 99.9% of people are going along with it. You currently can't even go to a store to buy food WITHOUT A MASK. Wait until they take it a step further and require a chip RFID implant or something similar AS WELL AS 100% MASK COMPLIANCE. The end is definitely near.
