Given the proximity of the Presidential election, however, I dont believe the senate should vote on the nominee priority the election in fairness to the American people

I'd give 10 to 1 odds YOU'RE RIGHT!
She's on the fast train to nowhere.
Yes, that would be a good start.
So, she’s a no on the nominee, or the appropriateness at this time ? There is a difference. It’s not her call, is it ?
How will she be remembered? I wish it could be as that brave RINO who stood stoically and voted for Kavanaugh. It truly was the highpoint, the only highpoint, in her career as a “Republican”. It could have been eclipsed in this Supreme Court election emergency. She could have fought the good fight for the Constitution, the Republic, the POTUS and the Republicans all around this country who are fighting and sometimes dying for our land to remain free. She could have gone out a Rock Star Republican.
Look at her. She’s Blanche Dubois, always counting on the kindness of STRANGERS. She is no different than Hillary, Pelosi, Harris, Waters, DeLauro, Abrahms, Feinstein and all the political whores who trade their consciences for cheap votes and thrills.
THIS is how she will be remembered. Just another political whore
murkowski and collins combined are destroying my enthusiasm for amy coney barrett or any other female to the USSC.
murkoski and collins belong in the same category as judas iscariot
betrayers all
This should finish her in Maine! What a dingbat! She has watched the democrats and their antics throughout the last years and she realizes what they are going to try to do to keep an anti-abortion justice from a vote in the Senate. She also realizes that she is playing right into their hands. For that reason, the Maine Republicans should vote against her for her treason.
Shes running double digits behind a younger healthy democrat
With her Parkinsons symptoms on display, this selfish hag should have groomed a replacement for the good of the party and the country
The democrats have been flooding her social media accounts with negativity for the last few months.
If she was thinking today’s decision was a safe one, she was wrong because now the republicans are flooding her social media accounts and it is NOT pretty...

U.S. Senator Susan Collins: (NEEDS to be FREEPED in comment section under her statement!)
Let’s cut a deal with her democratic opponent...conservatives vote her out if he commits contractually to vote yes on Trump’s nominee...she is useless anyway as a conservative vote on anything. Betcha this proposal would get Mitch off his ass and he would figure out how to motivate Collins and Murkowski...and remember, Murkowski is up for reelection in Alaska in two years. Shall we plan on moving up there and registering to vote a few months prior to her primary?
Its carefully worded as to be non-committal, and you’re right, is centered around timing rather than the actual nomination. The fact that she does not object to the Senate vetting Trump’s nominee may be something of a ‘tell’. That’s a total waste of everyone’s time, including the nominee, and she knows it.
I think she’s not a definite ‘no’.
My guess? Either she’s trying to have it both ways or she wants something. Or both.
If anything we need to motivate the other senate races so that we don’t have to rely on Romney Murkowski and Collins anymore.
I’m talking to you, Arizona!
Is she voting no, or not voting?
Shes losing huge in the polls. She wont be reelected anyway.
The thing is, the vast majority of people who are going to vote for Collins’ opponent, will vote against her no matter what.
If she said she was a ‘yes’, a lot more undecideds would break her way, IMHO, and be more motivated to get out and vote for her.
I agree with you. I think its an idiotic strategy, but I do think she’s trying to straddle the fence here.
Notice she said shouldn't not wouldn't.
The older she gets, the more she’s looking that that weird bird RBG.
