I hope the nominee is prepared to have his/her life dissected and critiqued and attacked going back to their kindergarten days.I suspect the tacit vetting has already occurred and the candidate has already signed on.

I disagree; the democrats want:
A) To name RBG’s replacement if Trump loses.
B) Block any appointment they don’t like if they
take the Senate and Trump wins.
The entire point of winning elections is to exercise the power that comes with it. Waiting isn’t going to end the riots. It won’t stop the wildfires, the Chinese flu, or anything. The democrats wouldn’t even acknowledge it as a meaningful gesture. So why bother? What if Trump nominates Hillary for the spot? Would that make you feel better?

Thats assuming the Senate stays Repub majority. If a nominee is put forth before the election, it strengthens those Rs up for re-election that are struggling and puts pressure on the Rs would would waffle. And IF Trump were to lose and the Senate go D, well, we missed a YUGE opportunity to affect SCOTUS for decades. Press on...

I think it might actually make sense. It makes me think about it, especially since I'm not sure McConnell can even deliver a vote much less a confirmation due to RINO Republicans.

Don’t you love it when the left wing press provides helpful suggestions for Republicans? It’s awful nice of them.

Well...
we're not burning things, threatening
them with bodily harm, shutting down
their social media platforms, doxxing, etc.
...even though many states(like mine)have adopted massive voter fraud laws to almost guarantee 'rat victories now and in the future.
...so they got a way with that, why not think they can get away with saying this?

It’s a fair point. Just wait and do it during the lame duck, if either the WH or the Congress gets flipped.

Then it comes down to, how do you make sure we keep 50 votes plus Pence after the Abortion Twins and Mr. Magic Underwear defect? Those 3 might be fine with voting to confirm in the lame duck after the election.

And then, after a radicalized WH or Congress — assuming some Dem wins — proceed to ignore all the SCOTUS rulings, how will we feel then?
