Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Friday night that he intends to allow for a floor vote in the Senate to confirm a new nominee made by President Donald Trump to replace the Supreme Court vacancy left by Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
"In the last midterm election before Justice Scalia's death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck president's second term. We kept our promise. Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president's Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year," he said.

If Biden wins and dems take the senate (or even tie the senate 50/50) and keeps the House, it wpn't matter if Trump's SCOTUS replacement is confirmed, because then they can change the number of SCOTUS jusices to 24 or 100. We should know by now that trying to appease leftists makes them more ambitious.
The Democrats can either rehash the same unconstitutional questions they peppered her with last time, or they can try to find new issues in whatever rulings she wrote since then.

Thanks for explaining! I was hoping she could skip that part and move this along faster. Hoping you are right about it being expedited.

Nominate Barrett and hope she brings her two black Haitian adopted children to the hearings. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Dems at those precious optics!
They made fun of Romney's adopted grandson.
Trump should bring hell down on any Senate Republican that fights him on this:
Publically 24/7 make his/her life absolutely miserable.
Then meet in private with them.
Yes he did as per three news items.
Schumer replied “Don’t Dare!”
First, RBG dies on Rosh Hashanah, then this. Another sign from God?

“The GOP is in control by 53 to 47, but Murkowski of Alaska has said she wont vote on a nominee before the election. So that brings us down to 52.”
Murkowski said she wouldn’t vote BEFORE the election which leaves her open to vote AFTER the election . Trump is President until January 17th and the Republicans have 75 days after the election to fill that position and I have no doubt whatsoever it will be filled by a Republican.
Even tho I am convinced Trump will win, if by some chance he doesn’t there is even a greater likelihood the Senate fills that position before the inauguration.
That will bring the count back down to 52.

It’s on you Arizona, I don’t care if McSally is a RINO, we need that seat.
Murkowski us up for re-election in 2022. If she fails to vote on this nominee, she will absolutely be primaried by an actual conservative.
Murkowski would then turn rat.
