White House to withhold funds from Connecticut schools that let biological boys compete in girls’ sports
NOQ Report ^ | September 18, 2020 | CQ Livingston

In 2017 a local boys soccer team in Dallas made up of 14-year-olds defeated the United States national women’s team. It was downplayed by media with claims that the best women in American soccer weren’t really trying against the young boys, but anyone with a brain knows there is zero chance the women’s team was laying off. They tried their best to defeat the boys, many of whom were likely recently past puberty, and still lost 5-2.

It was a wake-up call that should have been heeded, but not everyone got the message. Schools in Connecticut failed to do so and are now paying the price as Education Secretary Betsy DeVos announced the White House is withholding funds earmarked for desegregation until high schools stop allowing biological males claiming to be females to dominate girls’ athletics. According to Just The News:

The department’s Office for Civil Rights has warned officials at three Connecticut school districts several times that it will not release the grant money as planned on Oct. 1, unless they withdraw from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference over its transgender policies.

Officials with the conference, which governs high school athletics in the state, say their policies conform to Connecticut law.

The five-year grants worth roughly $45 million, and the remaining $18 million is earmarked for districts in New Haven, Hartford and southeast Connecticut that operate magnet schools under a federally approved, voluntary desegregation plan, The Times also reports.

The charade has been going on long enough. It’s unfair for girls who have trained their whole lives to reach the top of their sport to be sideswiped by mediocre male athletes who claim to be girls. This is a good move by Betsy DeVos.

Good idea. The lack of ready funds is the only thing they will understand and respect. Expect a big battle though.
A lot of emotional over-acting will commence.

I read about this today in my local paper. The smug Ct school officials talked tough but we will see what happens when the money evaporates. They talked about cisgender and transgender instead of boys and girls. That's the problem with these people, they can't even think in simple terms like boys and girls.

Why is the federal government giving 45 million to schools in Connecticut? The Constitution gives the local governments power over education, not the federal government.

The olympics say you have to compete as you were born. Those athletes know the difference.

How about the other way around as well?

Since when do girls get to take boys’s spots on teams and invade male areas whkle playing being a boy?

I am so sick of this crap and especially the only one-sidedness of the people simply because now that girls who promoted gays and trannies tolerance now cant win, now thats the only reason people are against it.

Not because any student male or female like this is mentally ill and the solution isnt to force everyone to go along with this bullshiite

Nope its just a superficial reason that oh girls cant get first place, we have to be against it.

Sick and shallow.

Stop all this crap once and for all for all mentally ill boys AND girls.

I agree that it is just as wrong. However, these transgendered “boys” competing against biological boys are not winning medals, cash prizes, and scholarships. They are certainly not breaking any records. The injustice is far far worse for the biological girls who have to compete against these so-called females. Men’s sports will not be destroyed by transgendered “men” but women’s sports are being destroyed. The injustice is not equal, in this case your ire would be better directed on behalf of these young girls.

I frankly dont care.

I care about ending the madness, period.

Your approach just once again makes it men bad, women good. Or its only a woman problem. Its not.

You are focusing on the wrong issues they are not the real foundational issues, and you balkankze it into a male female issue when its a menatl ilnes issue that affects both men and women.

You know how shallw this argument is? You would be perfectly fine with trannies if they weren’t winning.

Im not. Because I am against the real problem here, and that problem encompasses both boys and girls. You are just against who’s getting a trophy or money.

In March 2019, Harris cosponsored the Equality Act, which would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 . Among other things, the bill would force public schools to expand female athletic teams to include biological males who identify as transgender girls,..Also did this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3877896/posts and this http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3880192/posts

HERE’S HOW THEY TREAT CONSERVATIVE CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS WHO DONT SUPPORT STUFF LIKE THIS

And why there is no such thing as a Conservative Dem in Congress an example is Illinois 3rd district

Todays Democrats weren’t happy with his funding votes against abortion and on being the only congressional democrat to vote NO on allowing men to to call themselves a women and compete with women in college sports.
Those who live in Chicago already voted at their local public library. But in the reshaped 3rd Congressional district Daniel Lipinski lost because of redistricting. Of a district which had previously included adjacent Chicago city wards to his 23rd.

That was a district where those city wards were predominatly composed of traditional value family oriented Catholic/Christian communities opposed to funding such things as abortion and LGBT activities rather that dealt exclusively with city issues such as a subway L service and the Stevenson Expressway. Those Wards were reliable William O Lipinski supporters of Dan’s father. But since most had areas with hispanic last names those areas were redistricted and assigned to the Gutieriez’s district. Those results are posted below which actually tear up the concept of a neighborhood and pit people against each other by using division. In some of those wards areas of city blocks which were zoned exclusively for single family dwellings residents suddenly found their neighborhood having houses torn down and being replaced with multiple apartments with the units not required to furnish parking facilities and many renters were illegals. Much of which fit the plans for the suburbs

I’m a football coach from Connecticut. Since Football has been shut down. What would happen if the football players decided to play girls soccer or field hockey. The Connecticut legislators would soil their pants

To the larger point I agree with the white house decision
