When they had absolute control over all media, they believed themselves to be the "kingmakers" of the country and used that control to make or unmake any President; I.E, JFK, Nixon.

It’ not exactly accurate to say the Democrats have taken over the media; it’s more like the communists have taken over both the media and the Democrat party.
Free Speech has become a Marxist shouting propaganda while no one else can manage to get a word in.
That isn’t free speech.
I’d like to see trust-busting and MAJOR restrictions on centralized ownership of media. Like: One outlet per owner. You can own one TV station. Or one radio station. Or one newspaper. That’s it: one thing. No more for you.
Then we would see diversity of viewpoints.

A great conservative Roger Ailes developed Fox News and that changed everything.
Fox News not only challenged the status quo bt over the years has whipped them at their own game. The Democrats are so fearful of Fox News they refuse to go on and be interviewed.
Meanwhile the conservative Republican president and several of his designees appear regularly delivering the message personally and unfiltered

I have news for you all, the MSM has always pushed their master’s agendas. I remember JFK murder and the cover up, get out of Vietnam and the anti war movement, the ‘60s black riots, Nixon & Watergate, Jimmy Carter & and the greatest President ever and so much more. The MSM was created to push anti American agendas! Nothing has changed except the internet allows the people to publish their own side. Must have been like when the printing press was developed.

The media has been gone since at least Watergate, starting during the Vietnam War. But a lot of people didn’t notice until Fox came along to provide some contrast.
It probably had a leftist slant against Henry VII and Charlemagne in their respective times.
