You know me too well. LOL! I’d definitely love to be there with the chasers.
I know! I had the same reaction. Not very nice of them.
Ahhh...one of those with a huge sense of responsibility. That just takes away from the fun! :) You should JUMP into the leaves.
I can just see you sitting in front of your monitor wishing you were on-site! LOL!
You betcha! I want to be with Brett and Chris right now. It’s getting wild. Sally’s intensifying again.
I guess I’d better go see what’s happening. I watched a couple of escapism shows just to clear my head. LOL!
Ryan’s the only one sitting out in the storm at the moment. Brett wussed out and went to a parking garage.
Josh is sitting out in it, too, and posting short videos on his Twitter page.
The eye wall is closing in now and it’s intense.
You Are Warm Nights by the Fire. Peaceful and romantic. The best part of fall. That's the result I got.
So, how's everyone doing this morning?
Things you hear from leaf pile jumpers:
“Hey! I found the pitchfork!”
“Who put all these bricks in here?”
“You raked up a bunch of dog poop with the leaves, didn’t you?”
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Did you have another fine day over there for a romp with Gizmo? Ready for the nice fall temps that are coming through?
And believe it or not, there were some people boating out there too.
And, boy oh boy are they really getting it out on the Florids and Alabama coast, prayers for the people in those areas. Major flash flooding going on right now. Here is a link to a web site with all of the NWS chat rooms providing up to the second information. Mobile AL NWS is mobchat from the drop down menu.
This former leaf pile jumper said that more than once when she was a kid. LOL
Let me correct the link to the Iembot server. It’s weather.im/iembot. You’ll have to cut and paste to your address bar.
It doesn’t look like it misted too much. I’ve seen Gizmo’s coat wetter, but it was definitely damp in your pix.
Maybe the boaters were fishermen. It takes a lot more than a drizzle to keep them off the water. LOL
Yep, they’re getting hammered on the Gulf coast right now. The eye wall is hitting. I’ve been following it on several live cams all night. I wish I was down there with one of the chasers!
I get page not found. Is it a phone app or something?
It has ramped up to 105 mph...almost a cat 3. That was surprising to Steve and it was to me, too. This was supposed to be a wimpy storm. Guess that’ll teach everyone to try to out-think the elements. I’m guessing that the authorities never thought to issue evacuation orders, either.
I guess I’ll go soon. See ya tomorrow. We’ll see what all it did when the sun comes up. 30 inches of rain can pretty much wipe a place out, and downtown Pensacola is flooded already.
Love this picture of the handsome boy. He just looks so happy!
They said it would make landfall as a Cat 2 yesterday, then if fizzled a bit today. I guess it surprised us all kicking up at the last minute like it did. It ramped up FAST.
I don’t know if there were mandatory evacuation orders or not but there were at least voluntary orders. They closed the bridges off Dauphine Island earlier tonight and caught Brett and the others off guard. They thought they were leaving in time to beat it but found out they were wrong.
Ryan was parked in the street until a sheet of plywood almost hit his car. He’s in the entrance to a parking garage now and you can see in his headlights that the street is a river. Debris flies by every now and then.
Still wish I was down there though. LOL I need to win the lottery so I can have money to blow on storm chasing.
Sleep well. Have a good time with the girls tomorrow.
Apparently I didn't do it right. My brain seems to not be working this morning. This isn't the 1st time either. I gave Gizmo a bone instead of the treats I usually give him.((LOL))
Try it now and see if it works. Here is the iembot page.
From the “Available Rooms” tab choose mobchat (Mobile) and taechat (Tallahassee)
