Outdoor Dining in NYC ‘Should Become Permanent’ Mayor De Blasio Says

Mayor suggests making outdoor dining a permanent facet of NYC One month after Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed that outdoor dining would return in 2021, he’s now hinting that the Open Restaurants and Open Streets programs could become permanent fixtures of summertime dining. In a press conference on Monday, Mayor de Blasio referred to the dual programs — which allow restaurants to use sidewalk space for outdoor seating and closes popular streets to vehicular traffic, respectively — as “a great victory” for the city’s restaurants and bars. “Communities have loved Open Restaurants. Open Streets have been a great success,” he said. “All of that I think should become permanent in New York City.”

Oh sure, be outside where it is easier access for the brown shirts to come and mess up the meal. De Blasio is an idiot.

Once again, this guy is the epitome of stupid. Some restaurants do not have a terrace for dining tables. He also forgets that it gets really COLD in winter.

Not mentioned here is that there are really only five good months you would want to eat outdoors in NYC.

From about mid-May to mid-October. Even in that timeframe, you are going to have some crappy days where it is too chilly, wet or windy.

I know I'VE always wanted a steak to come to my table and be half frozen before it is in front of me.

This guy is MASSIVELY stupid. As in a new transpolar orbit stupid, out past the moon, you can't get there from here.

Nothing like diesel fumes to go along with dinner.

Dagen McDowell, on FoxBiz, was saying last week that dining at outdoor/street tables, in NYC, is gross....as it smells like an open sewer.

I know the last time we were in NYC, last year, the air (from streets - just walking through city, any time of day) did smell horrid.

I can’t imagine dining in the middle of these filthy streets.

The few outdoor dining places we patronized, weren’t so fun....loud noises, honking, exhaust from OLD cars/trucks, etc. The inside of many establishments isn’t much better. I swear they mop floors with urine, in most of NYC.

The only thing that ain’t gonna be permanent is his term as “Mayor”.

Don’t know if NYC has a recall, but the next regular election should be the day that DeBozo The Crazed gets dumped.

Look in the dictionary under the word “idiot.” There’s DeBlasio’s picture.

What an absolute MORON.

I love places that offer outdoor dining. I already thought it WAS a permanent thing. When weather permits, it’s fun. Of course, when it doesn’t, we eat inside. If there is no inside dining, we eat somewhere else - or at home.

Where diners can be subjected to rain, birdsh#!, doper bums panhandling, protester rage, knife attacks, driveby shootings, and acid attacks.

Ah, it’s just like Paris in the spring, wee wee!
