Anthony Fauci recommends taking your vitamins now that school has started and flu season is nearing.
Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, specifically suggested taking vitamin D and C supplements and said he takes them himself in an Instagram Live interview with the actress Jennifer Garner on Thursday.
"If you're deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself, taking vitamin D supplements," he said. "The other vitamin that people take is vitamin C because it's a good

Thank goodness the good FReepers here taught me 4 months ago that most Americans have Vitamin D deficiency, that fat indoor people have it worse, and that 5000IU daily with K2 is a good way to resist respiratory infection.
I have been taking that for 4 months now, thanks greatly to Free Republic. Not so much to Dr. Faustus. I’ve been on Vitamin C much longer, so I already know about that from Michael Savage’s references to Dr. Linus Pauling many years to decades now.

But my question is re: a virus. I ask because when I looked previously it appeared there were antibacterial benefits, when used in the right way—but no demonstrated benefits against viruses.
