Colts linebacker and team captain Darius Leonard has confirmed that the entire team will make what he calls a “bold statement” during the national anthem on Sunday, as the NFL launches its first full weekend of action.
“We decided we’re going to make a bold statement, and we’re going to show unity as a team,” Leonard said, according to Stephen Holder of TheAthletic.com.
The Colts have had mixed reactions to protests during the anthem among the players. In the past, the Colts linked arms while at other times, individual players have taken a knee during the anthem.

I think to really impress people....all of the players should give up 50-percent of their salary...to send a ‘message’. Just hand the money back to the owners, because the players really don’t need it.
Anyone buying a ticket to see clowns like this making millions playing a kids game is dumber than they are. I’ve never needed a football player or a baseball player for anything. Have any of you?
Hopefully, self-respecting fans will make a bolder statement, with their feet.

Completely agree. The idiots do not understand what “bold” means in the current climate.
Lemme guess: they’re going to temporarily exit the stadium to go join some Antifa-BLM riots downtown.
Hoping the fans also make a bold statement. Something like, “BOOOOOOOOOOO!” or “Do not force the views of the Marxist BLM down my throat.” Or, even better, “Until you do politics on your own time, I will not be doing sports on my own time.”
I have watched about 15 minutes of the NFL since Colin K took a knee. That was 15 minutes too much. Used to watch every game of the hometown team...no more.
