From the moment he stepped into the White House, President Donald Trump’s record on LGBTQ rights has continued to get worse and worse.
It has now been over 3 years, and despite administration officials’ claims that he is a “pro-LGBTQ” president, the attacks from the White House are still coming. From erasing any mentions of LGBTQ rights from federal websites minutes after his inauguration to supporting a school’s right to fire a gay teacher, Trump’s LGBTQ rights record couldn’t be more heinous.

I remember the good old days when gays just wanted people to stay out of their bedrooms. Then we switched to the days where gays intentionally take jobs at Christian or youth orgs, and then find a way to sue the orgs for not cowtowing to their own life choices, even if those life choices in violation of those orgs’ employment standards of conduct.

The president basically pays little regard to whether or not someone is a homosexual. He refuses to play that game - he doesn’t march in their stupid parades, or pander in any way. What he does do is put any person into a position that he thinks they would excel in, regardless of them being a homosexual. This is how it should be. No pandering, no rainbow flags. Just don’t discriminate.
But he doesn't want to wear the ribbon.
Everyone gets the same rights. Some people think they should get special rights.
Didn’t the Supreme Court (because of Trump-appointed Gorsuch’s vote) resolve the employment protection issue in LGBT’s favor? Maybe not in religious schools, but I don’t know. But, you know, if a school wanted to get rid of you for being gay, they would just find another reason to dismiss you, anyway. There are no protections in the private sector, But, in private or religious schools, that is a trade-off one makes for smaller classes, bright kids, and getting to keep one’s sanity.
Hey, they don’t have to sell me on voting for him. But the boost is appreciated.
