Another fake issue for the fake news, fake civil rights lawyers and fake politicians to fulminate over, so it looks like they care about something.
bit by bit
the Dems have all bases covered.
masks,no facial recognition, anyyhing necessary to protect the criminas destoying cities across America. unbelievable.
Excellent conclusive question(s)
Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. They haven’t issued ninja outfits to pieceful protesters yet.
Yup. For all the wrong reasons, Portland is doing something right for once. Like when the courts upheld the right of other democrats, I mean, nazis to march in Skokie.
That should stop the riots. Portland truly is lost.
Portland has ceased to be America and should be invaded and the secessionist government removed and the entire state placed on Territorial status.
I would think it is too late for any type of ban to work. Private individuals can use their own camera and probably access a stolen database.
The ban is great but I question whether er it will have much of an effect.
Facial recognition tech does not help when these Antifa thugs show up with masks and goggles...
The Antifa thugs have already planned ahead to counter FR and to have legal support available to spring them quickly from. jail...
They must also have significant plans for a shooting war in the streets...
When Trump wins the election, all hell will break loose...Cameltoe has already signaled this...
Patriots have to be ready...get ready!
We know why, and its not about “rights”.
To me, when you're in public you have no expectation of privacy. By definition people are going to see you. They may see you in person. They may see you on a traffic camera or a store security camera. They may see you in the background of someone else's selfie or scenery shot... Saying you can't use facial recognition technology seems arbitrary and baseless.
Sooooo...what’s the purpose of all the cameras then?
Do they realize that the police are what is protecting THEM from us?
If they want to take away an important police tool, they at least have the power to do that although there may be a court fight.
I see a conflict between self defense and the 4A in trying to prevent private business from using facial recognition. Examples:
1. Does a motel have the right to not rent a room to a know prostitute?
2. How about a pawn shop not buying merchandise from convicted thieves?
3. Does a check cashing service have the right to not cash a check for someone convicted of fraud in another state?
4. While a store already had the right to not allow re-entry by shoplifters, a facial recognition program helps to enforce this right.
5. Anti-shoplifting cameras are common in stores, certain customers are followed by cameras. Facial recognition of suspects from previous visits would greatly enhance their usefulness.
There are lots of self-defense uses for facial recognition.
Shut down the Portland airport....
No where in any of this does it say the feds can not use this software. They are using it every day and every night.
