The University of Rhode Island recently announced plans to remove two murals depicting the events of World War II due to their lack of diversity. The decision was prompted after students complained that the mural was not compatible with the university’s values of inclusivity. According to the school’s Vice President of Student Affairs, “Some of our students have even shared with us they didn’t feel comfortable sitting in that space.”

It was not the military that separated the races in WWII. It was Woodrow Wilson in WWI who put back into place the division of races in the military. Even with that, many blacks served in Europe in the first war.
Many blacks served in WWII in both theaters of war in all of the services. Montfort Marines, Tuskegee Airmen, any of those ring a bell?
Because we all know WW2 was actually won by the Lesbian, Black, Disabled, Gay, Trannie, soldiers.
And before anyone jumps on “Black” the number of black combat troops in WW2 was tiny compared to the total number.
Colleges weren’t very diverse at that time. That’s just the way it was.

Just home many blacks served in WWII from Rhode Island? You can be almost sure that the memorial was representative of the demographics of RI at the time it was erected. But that really isn’t the issue. These leftist bastards are trying to erase and rewrite history.

Not that many Asians, unless you count allies.
The Japanese were in just one RCT (Regimental Combat Team), and the Filipinos had two (not counting the Scouts in the Islands), but they had to be reduced to one for lack of replacements. The US raised over 300 RCT’s. IIRC the Chinese were integrated but there werent many of them.
There were lots more “Hispanics”, and they were always in integrated units. Some National Guard units were very hispanic. The old folks in Manila say the 8th Cavalry (1st Cavalry Division) in 1945 mostly spoke Spanish, and they liked that. Then there was the New Mexico National Guard 200th Artillery (antiaircraft), which was captured at Bataan. Most of its men were New Mexico “Spanish”, or Indians. Etc.
There were also @50,000 Mexican volunteers that crossed the border to do so. IIRC they could just walk across and enlist. Most I think ended up in the infantry.
Now, Rhode Island would have had very few non-whites in the 1940s, and any black soldiers would have been segregated and very unlikely to be in combat units.
These people just need to kill themselves. Really.

Interesting, is it not, that a good many universities indicate students who are in no way qualified to attend a real university by listening to their idiotic demands.
How much “diversity” do you suppose they’d find in the cemeteries at Normandy, the Punchbowl, or Bastogne?
