Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced Tuesday morning the Senate will vote on an additional Wuhan coronavirus relief package this week after months of stonewalling and refusal to negotiate by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He's also calling out Pelosi and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer on the real reason they're blocking relief for American families in a presidential election year.
“Senate Republicans have been trying for months to deliver more bipartisan relief to the American people. In July, we proposed another sweeping package totaling more than $1 trillion. Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer said no. In August, we proposed narrowing discussions to the most urgent and bipartisan subjects. They blocked that too," McConnell said. "Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer said a targeted deal on jobless benefits and the Paycheck Protection Program would be ‘piecemeal,’ but then Speaker Pelosi came rushing back to pass the most piecemeal bill imaginable: Postal Service legislation that completely ignored the health, economic, and education crises facing families."
“Everything Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer have done suggests one simple motivation: They do not want American families to see any more bipartisan aid before the polls close on President Trump’s re-election.

The senate should hold a daily press conference with the skinny bill and and a cell phone on the podium and they should call her office and leave a message saying they are waiting for her to help the American people.

I crap one of those every once in awhile. I just call em “obamas” though.
Maybe Nancy will come to the table and settle after being called out for her hypocrisy last week. Maybe.
Why should she? She has nothing to lose. She wants a blank check before the election.
Just a reminder — we would have an overt and explicit USSC array if McConnell had not had the balls to refuse to consider an Obama nominee until after the possible election of Trump.
It proved out. FR hates him far more than they should.
He has to craft positions to get votes. For years he had to deal with Flake and McCain to go with Murkowski and Collins. No other Senator could have done what he achieved.
The USSC stuff, that took balls. No one else would have tried that.
Now he has Romney and Collins. Collins has consistently represented her voters. That means she’s not staunch right wing. But it also means it was she and only she that got Kavanaugh through. Her speech made it happen. A Dem in her seat would be far left wing.
Romney has no excuse for his petulant hatred of the President.
We need a new Majority Leader in the Senate that has energy
and will at least try to look like he has a better relationship
with Trump than he had with Obama.
One that knows judges are only part of his duty, and won’t
allow nominees to wait six months or more to be approved.
We got a lot of new judges over the last four years.
We could have had a lot more.
You know, we never really know what the next election will
bring. We have to make hay while the Sun shines.
Out guys look like they’re on ludes.
On the Left everyone has their moth open at full volume.
Just watch Romney. On our side we have muzzes and an
occassional muffled squeak from time to time.
It's a Mormon thing. Just as with Lee, Flake and McMuffin.
Neither do the Republicans.
