Hopefully there’s a Libertarian running against Cornyn so I don’t have to leave that line blank.

It gets worse than that for the Texas GOP leadership. Not only do they miss opportunities, they try to get outside organizations to attack fellow GOP to get them off the ballot in exchange for favors and access. And then lie about it.

Off topic, but Perot was right. He was a gun grabber, but right on trade and the debt. Trump ran on such concerns. Bush lost because he had no answers and concerns for the Republic.

Perot wasn’t a libertarian. Just one of three rotten choices on the 1992 ballot.

At least Perot was a patriot.

Naah, he was a nutjob and a coward. He really wanted Bubba the Rapist to win the election. He was too scared to serve as President or he’d not have dropped out when he was in first place in the polls. As I said, they were all rotten choices. Reagan should’ve picked Paul Laxalt as his running mate, and we’d have had (at minimum) 16 straight years of Conservative governance, no scum like the Clintoons darkening the doorstep of the White House and a Supreme Court that was sane (no Obergefell or protecting ZeroCare or that garbage).

“Read my lips” sent squishy repukes over to Perot. Which meant a Clinton victory.

Curse the Bush dynasty all you want to, but the fact remains that they were a far better choice than the Clinton/Obama era that Perot Voters were responsible for.

' Clinton/Obama era that Perot Voters were responsible for.'

Perot revealed that there wasn't much difference in R's and D's. That is still the case. More debt, more spending, more government. Bush and his crew walked hand and hand with D's to destroy this country, and still do.

As I said way up thread...... “To this day you will still find people, even here at FR, who boast about voting for Perot and would do so again.”

And here you are.

I can see a provision for a general challenge deadline and August 21 might be appropriate but, for the life of me, I don’t see how a candidate can get him or herself on the ballot in the first place without paying the fee. Seems to me that it would be an absolute requirement before ballots are printed. No fee, no name on the ballot.

All the members of the TX Supreme Court are Republicans.

These same Republicans will shut down corrupt vote by mail schemes, so be happy they are following the law now.

My apologies. Your defense of Perot naturally lead me to believe you voted for Perot .
