The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief says his story about Trump calling vets ‘losers’ is just the beginning
Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, said his magazine’s story about Trump calling Americans who died in battle “losers” and “suckers,” was just the tip of the iceberg.
“I would fully expect more reporting to come out about this and more confirmation and new pieces of information in the coming days and weeks,” Goldberg told CNN’s Chief Media Correspondent Brian Stelter on “Reliable Sources” Sunday. “We have a responsibility and we’re going to do it regardless of what he says.”

This is just like the impeachment fiasco.
All the “sources” weren’t actually there. They just heard about it through the grapevine.

That confirms that Kelly originated the story. this means they are circling the wagons/ their scams are starting to be recognized for what they are....
Had this happened it would have been part of the ‘impeachment’ charges ... and we would have heard about it the very day it happened.
But FNC’s Jennifer Griffin confirms “some of the story” based on her sources who refuse to go on the record for fear of Twitter backlash. Jennifer should retire and go away.

Actually that is a very interesting theory and it would fit with the situation.

This whole flap sounds to me to as if John McCain has clawed his way out of the grave and is begging his journalist friends for revenge …. TRUMP DISPARAGED ME AND I AM A MILITARY VET AND AN AMERICAN HERO! I AM A LEGEND IN MY OWN MIND AND I ONLY HAD A MONTH OF FUNERALS! I WANT REVENGE!
It is no secret that President Trump and John McCain had their issues and I would not be surprised if the President didn’t call him a loser. However, this would not conflate to the entire military in a rational mind.
It was John McCain that sent his aid to London to obtain the “Dirty Dossier”. McCain thought he had found the Holy Grail and was more than willing to shop it around in Washington, D. C, in an attempt to unseat POTUS. It is likely we will learn more about that episode in a few weeks.
A brief Google search brings up multiple pro-McCain anti-Trump articles from the Atlantic Magazine that was published over several years. It would not take much imagination to polish up some of these old articles, create a few quotes, twist some words, and “Voila” a brand new ‘Hit Piece”, complete with ready made campaign ads, surrogate talking points and a lighted banner on Trump Tower. All the while, McCain is still trying to have his revenge and being frustrated in the attempt.
Maybe I should have been a journalist; I can make things up too.
By the way, I wonder when the democrats started to give a damn about our military.
I caught that too. Some shit was probably said/had but not of the nature or degree being presented. This feels like the impeachment show all over again with this one saying they “felt” this,”believed” that, or “heard” someone say...
