Beware! Democrats Have an Unseen Advantage in Battleground States
PJ Media ^ | 09/07/2020 | Rick Moran

This is going to be a close election. It was always going to be close. Talk of a Biden “blowout” or a Trump “landslide” is just that — talk.

Since the election will come down to a few battleground states — or perhaps one or two — counting votes in those states will be critical. And the question of who gets to do the counting matters more in this election than in any other since the 2000 presidential contest.

Then, Republicans had the advantage in Florida with a GOP secretary of state. Katherine Harris followed the letter of the law in stopping the recount and the Supreme Court agreed. But most election legal experts think that Harris had some legal leeway in determining when to stop the recount.

As it turns out, a later study by a group of several leading newspapers found that, in most instances, Bush would have won even if disputed ballots had been counted.

But Harris’s actions in interpreting the law was decisive to a Bush victory.

Now, in 2020, the same scenario may present election counters with similar decisions. And in most battleground states, it means that Democrats will be making those decisions.

Bloomberg:

If the outcome of this November’s election comes down to fights over counting mail-in ballots and claims of fraud by President Donald Trump, Democrat Joe Biden may have a quiet advantage: The top election officials in many of the key states that could decide the election are Democrats.

In Michigan and Pennsylvania — two Democratic-leaning states Trump won in 2016 — the top elections officials belong to Biden’s party. That’s also true in Arizona, which Trump carried but Biden is now leading in the polls, and Minnesota, which the president has targeted.

RE: People in Ohio, Pennsylvania, 2 major battleground states stun me with their apathy

APATHY is what got New York city to allow a commie like Bill De Blasio to become mayor after 20 years of being ran by competent law and order mayors like Giuliani and even Bloomberg.

Only 21% of NYC’s registered bothered to vote on election day handling De Blasio the victory.

What is happening in NYC now, a 200% surge in crime and shootings, WILL occur in your state if you are apathetic.

I like Trump’s recommendation - vote by mail early and then vote in person. If they let you vote that means your mail in vote hadn’t been counted.

All he said was verify your vote was counted if you can,
He never suggested voting twice.

Amazing how people can’t figure out that that you get what you vote for, and if you don’t vote you could get anything.

Sometimes the choices suck but you have to choose.
I think Mike DeWine is a little tyrant and wish I could vote him out this election cycle , but he was the lesser of 2 evils and have no idea who would be a better alternative.

Ohio politics is rather new to me, I was raised here. put to young to vote in an election when I left.
I joined the Navy and voted for Reagan, on an absentee ballot in Ca.

The choice this November is between Trump and Biden, a party that encourages BLM and Antifa and helps to bail arrested rioters out, against a party that supports law and order.

It isn’t difficult to see the contrast.

I don’t understand why the MSM is making Az such a big deal, they have 11 electoral votes.

Because if Trump loses AZ and MI/WI (like the polls show), then he loses the WH.

The Biden camp certainly seems confident.

I don't see that at all. I see them as being in full panic mode. What else can explain Biden media buys in Minnesota - which hasn't voted for a Republican president since 1972.

Az is nothing, and trump shows a far better understanding of the electoral map than the Dems, that is how he whooped Hillary.

Who was 1st to PA? WI? it was Trump and he had serious rally’s, who limped along behind and had NO turn out? Slow Joe.

See the trend?

Nope,it’s gonna be close...damn close. Why? Mail in voting fraud.

Every precinct needs to be examined closely; unlike past elections. Any precinct that shows more voters than voter registrations should be treated as suspect and receive a thorough examination. The RNC needs to be ready to go after any anomalies with passion....although that may be a bit too much to ask.

This says your assertion that “this is going to be a close election” is pure bull shit. You have no evidence but your “feels” and belief in fake lying polls to back up your “this is going to be a close election” line.

You have no way to refute these numbers from the Democracy Institute’s August survey.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1329041/US-election-2020-donald-trump-joe-biden-latest-polling

Enthusiasm Gap?Q. “Are you strongly or very enthusiastic about your choice of candidate?”
• Trump voters = 82%
• Biden voters = 40%
Does anyone here who believes this crap from this author even vaguely understand how HUGE a 42 POINT gap is, especially in August? This is why Fatso Moore said “Republican enthusiasm is off the charts.” He saw this and believes it.

DI also says Trump is ahead in popular vote 48/45, is ahead 48/42 in swing states
and wins Electoral College 319/219 With a nice 2.5 % MoE.

If you believe the crap this guy is feeding you think again. I know you pearl clutches think that by some magically power just mentioning we have a lead automatically “jinxes” it and we will lose but try explaining how Grandpa Groundhog overcomes a 42 point enthusiasm gap - he can’t.
So what do we do now? We fight to crush them and beat the life out of the Donkeys. We fight to run up the score to a cheat proof margin of ten popular percentage points. 55/45 sounds safe.
