Ah, but these are government gyms. That makes all the difference. The Wuhan/CCP virus is smart enough to distinguish a government gym from an evil, money-grubbing capitalist gym just as it can tell the difference between black lives matter protestors and end-the-shutdown protestors.
Like Linus’s Great Pumpkin, the virus can recognize a ‘sincere’ gym.

Never. The good ones are busily leaving SF, because the place is a loss. Some non-luxury non-premium median smallish 2 bedroom apartments are going for $8000 a month there.
