We were spat upon and called war criminals, baby killers and every name in the book. Wannabe president John F'n Kerry even accused our guys of cutting off ears and wiring up testicals, etc. Very few democrats--civilian or elected--respected the troops or gave us any support whatsoever.
Remember Fonda posing for the communist VC? Most of these traitors still hate our vets and troops today.
Same thing happened when we went to war under President Bush. The traitorous democrats went to war against our troops.
Good to see the traitor democrats finally rushing in to support our troops (even if only for political expediency).
They'll continue kneeling for the Anthem, burning our flag and calling for death to America after this blows over.
It’s been a strange odyssey if you think about it. Democrats treated Vietnam vets terribly for years. Then, public opinion changed and started honoring the vets’ service. Suddenly, a lot of Dem politician were Vietnam “heroes” that we had never heard about before, except for John Kerry of course!
Yes Jim, my ship was stationed at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. All personal were not allowed to leave the ship in uniform.
Wasn’t there Dem congress people saying US troops were terrorizing/murdering...etc. during the Gulf War II? I can’t remember who and nothing comes up in google (imagine that).
Anybody in uniform during that time frame. To the POS assclowns, EVERYBODY was a baby killer.
I remember well 1972 in the Chicago airport we were transferring to Pittsburgh at, walking into the men’s room and some longhaired, stinky democrat was harrasing another VN Vet and turned his vitriol on me. When he did, I shook it off ( my willy peter) and grabbed his long hair and shoved his head in the commode, flushed six times until a cop (security? ) guy came in and had, not made, me stop. The other longhairs in there just glowered at me.

America still has a wonderful future, but I believe it is a relatively short future (a few decades IMO).
And those haters of freedom, people, America, and God who don't repent WILL die, many of them a very terrible death in the not-to-distant future. In that not-to-distant future after Jesus catches up his own into the air and on to Heaven, I'm certain America will not survive. But in the horrific seven years to follow, NO ONE will survive (except for a remnant of Israel hiding in the mountains).

Hollywood still views people in the military badly for the most part. Always showing as angry violent people who want to kill everyone. Meanwhile the liberal is trying to calm down the mad dogs.
John Kerry’s testimony in 1971 was nadir of democrat anti veteran actions.
A man I worked with relayed a story to me about the time he came back from Viet Nam. He was in San Francisco wearing his marine uniform and was beat up by a bunch of slugs.
Except he didn’t really throw them away did he?

Don’t forget the Korean War. When I disembarked the troop ship in San Francisco in September, 1953, there was a small military band on the wharf to greet us and no one else. There was no cheering then or when I got home. There was no jeering either. It was just - “ho-hum, where you been?” It was an unpopular war, but necessary as we kept South Korea free of Communism. But it was a war we could have re-united the whole Korea by driving Communist China and NK forces out, but the UN made us hold the 38th Parallel.
I was just a youngster, but I remember the family talking about “dirty filthy hippies” being hateful to our soldiers.
President Trump loves our soldiers.
I remember all too well.
