Does anyone remember how Vietnam vets were treated by almost all democrats during and after the war?

Yes, I remember it well.

We stood on a hill and watched a vicious protest against the Vietnam war and the vets on our college campus. After seeing the cops rounding up the longhairs who were flying Vietcong flags, my husband made made up his mind then and there that he was going to join the police dept.

It was not an easy time for the cops either 50 years ago, that's when they first started to be called "pigs".

I got news from the Pacific Stars & Stripes. AFVN radio was OK. Even picked up Jane Fonda on Radio Hanoi calling us babykillers and war criminals.

Flew Hueys and saw some s***. McGovern came to Saigon & badmouthed our allies.

Didn’t see protesters when I flew into Travis but heard a lot about U.S. military being abused & attacked. I assumed at the time they were either draft dodgers or convinced communists. But they were just like Antifas now: pure EVIL!

Yeah, I get “thank you for your service” a lot and I appreciate it, especially when it’s another Vietnam vet. I deployed at 55 and we were applauded in airports, so a lot has changed.

But Jane Fonda is still breathing and that’s a problem.

“...they can’t be bargained with, they can’t be reasoned with, they don’t feel pity, remorse, or fear, and absolutely will not stop – ever - until America is DEAD.”

That description covers at least a few hundred terrorist groups in the middle east alone, some that are housed and working in the US.

There are 22 charities accused of ties to terrorism.

There are 36 non-state groups tied to terrorism

There are 37 North American Organized crime groups tried to terrorism

There are 61 foreign groups identified as FTO’s (Foreign Terrorist Organization)

There is no commonly accepted definition of “terrorism” and the term is frequently used as a political tactic to denounce opponents whose status as terrorists is disputed. An attempt at a global definition appears in the working draft of Comprehensive Convention Against International Terrorism, which defines terrorism as a type of act, rather than as a type of group. Specifically, “terrorism” in the draft refers to the threatened or actual intentional injury to others, and serious damage to property resulting in major economic loss, or to change lives.’

Sound like libs? It should.

April 1, 1972 was one of the happiest days of my life. I received the letter awarding me a 4 year Army ROTC scholarship.

A few days later, after word had gotten out, I was ostracized on campus...yeah, I was called baby killer, sell out, and a bunch of vile things. I even had teachers say to me directly how "disappointed" they were in me.

The only teacher who publicly supported me was my calculus teacher, a former Jesuit priest from Marquette. He was thrilled that I chose to matriculate at Gonzaga.

The school was located about 15 miles south of Berkeley, Rachel Maddow also graduated from there...enough said.

Never had a problem at Gonzaga. At that time, ROTC cadets comprised about 5% of the student body, most of us were on scholarships. Still say in touch with a couple of dozen friends from college. Going to Gonzaga was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I could only laugh when I checked it out on classmates.com, where they had an "honor roll" for those that served in the military. They're having a reunion for classes from the 70s in a couple of years. My sister and BIL are going, I'll probably join them.

All I know is these "people" have never drifted from their socialistic roots, they're leopards whose spots cannot be changed.

I remember it very clearly; I came back to so called home in 1970, deplaned at SFO, was still in uniform (it was required back then), got spit on by some hippy filth while waiting for a taxi.

Damn near beat that son of a bitch to death right there on the sidewalk.

San Francisco cop who pulled me off that bastard told me to get the hell out of there and just disappear, I did.

Never heard anything else about it.

The treatment was so disgusting and detestable it drove some to insanity, John F’ing Kerry is a prime example.

I was going home on leave from Ft. Benning. Was walking through Atlanta airport when approached y a Delta captain and 2 female flight attendants. The blonde said to me, “hold out your hand, I have something for you.” Like an idiot I did and she proceeded to deposit her cigarette butt in my 19-year old hand. They all laughed as they walked away. This was in 1970. I haven’t flown Delta since.

Yup. Was subjected to abuse frequently. From Amsterdam to NYC to NOLA and other locations when in uniform.

We have a secular party, and a satan party. Christians should not choose the satan party.
