NEW YORK (AP) Ahead of Labor Day, unions representing millions across several working-class sectors are threatening to authorize work stoppages in support of the Black Lives Matter movement amid calls for concrete measures that address racial injustice.
In a statement first shared with The Associated Press, labor leaders who represent teachers, autoworkers, truck drivers and clerical staff, among others, signaled a willingness Friday to escalate protest tactics to force local and federal lawmakers to take action on policing reform and systemic racism. They said the walkouts, if they were to move forward with them, would last for as long as needed.

May be more difficult than they think. Lots of union members support Trump.
Not really. It would be a total failure.
Instead of riots, protests , and work stoppages, how about just tell young , out of control, black men to obey police commands?
When it comes to their pensions they’ll kneel in a heartbeat!
The kids are better off for it.
Indeed. Think of it this way: while it's supposed to slow the spread of CV19, it really slows the spread of Communism.
Unions - more government-funded terrorist groups.
Unions don’t have that power anymore. They think they do. This “racial justice” garbage is only an excuse. Most unions are extremely white at the top and heavy with blacks and Latinos at the bottom. I once lived next door to a electrical union in Philly. It was a good ‘ol boys club that drank a lot of beer and brought the big rat out when they felt the need.
Great idea. Have people with jobs go on strike and therefore on strike pay. Hit them financially just before the election. Scream that it is all about racial justice and blame it on Trump! When they pull out their wallets and see much less than usual they will say, “Gotta vote for Biden/Harris to fix this empty wallet.” Right.
What are they talking about? The teachers havent worked in months. If the unions want to put their workers on vacation then they get zero vacation pay.
Most Union businesses have no strike clauses in their contracts.
“I am USPS emp. since 86”
You have any skinny on the upcoming vote-by-mail election?
Yeah .. the country is really going to grind to a halt if these people aren't working ...NOT!
A few unions might want these racist rules but i doubt the majority of workers want them. We already discriminate against non minorities with affirmative action. This comes from the teacher union and service workers union. The union management is pushing this for the other unions. I hope the members who walk out get fired. This is another liberal tactic to hurt the economy.
Just remember...it’s the Democrats kicking this country while it’s down.
Nope but we were told any stray ballots
(for last Tuesday’s MA primary) had to
be sure to go out on trucks for that city.
(Machines do most of the sorting, at another facility, but we saw a few that
were put in our boxes or arrived from
elsewhere).
DeJoy said no machines to be taken
out, overtime not cancelled, every
effort to be made to process election
mail.His proposed reforms may be
implemented afterwards.
In the town where I grew up, population
about 3400, some locals put up a
Save The Postal Service banner near
the town post office.
Sure why not, theyre just as communistic as BLM.

2016 Bernie, then Hillary
2020 Bernie, then Slow Joe
The real shocker would be if these pathetic bums ever worked even while at work. What a pathetic joke. Ban all government “worker” unions.
The people who are complaining about "racial injustice" are the ones who cut class, smoked weed, and thought studying your school lessons was "acting white". These people are angry because they have no future unless they can secure a lifetime of free stuff. The future is quickly passing them by.
