Senator Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) said Friday on CNN’s “Newsroom” that President Donald Trump uses the military for his ego and does not understand their sacrifice while reacting to The Atlantic article claiming the president said Americans who died in war were “losers” and “suckers.”
Duckworth said, “We all know this is exactly Donald Trump. This is who he is. People know the story is accurate because he’s consistently said these things over the years and continues to act in a way where he likes to use the military for his own personal ego as if we were some sort of toy soldiers you could pull out and line up on your desk to play with.”
“But he really doesn’t understand the sacrifice,” she continued. “And he truly doesn’t understand what it means to put something above yourself too, serve this nation and be willing to lay down one’s life with this nation. Because he does nothing that does not benefit Donald Trump, bottom line.”

Meanwhile, Tammy, the oh-so-smart and reasoned Obama had the military deployed many times, underequipped (because of the sequester deal he promoted), and with self-defeating, harmful, and limiting Rules of Engagement.
The article has been debunked but I see it’s still serving its purpose. Note that DJT was calling McCain a loser as noted in the article. If he did actually say “losers and suckers,” it was most likely in reference to the heads of state that were scheduled to be there. And DJT would be right on both counts.

I don’t know what it is about this latest phony scandal about Trump. He wouldn’t have been my first, second, third or fourth choice in the 2016 primaries but here we are with me as a full throated supporter. My opinion of so many friends and colleagues whom I held in high regard has been so horribly eroded by their childish rants and intellectually dishonest opinions about things that are clearly untrue. It is all I can do to keep from blasting them (rhetorically of course). If Trump is the scoundrel who disses the military that the craven left thinks he is then based on his desire and execution of withdrawing troops from far off lands, investing in infrastructure and most of all bringing mortal enemies together in brokered peace deals, I think we need more Trump, not less.
Unlike the Bushes and Obama, obviously, who praised and honored and stood tall and dry-eyed before all the young men they sent to their deaths.
The hypocrisy stinks to high heaven...talk about using and abusing our military and not giving a sh*t about them.
